How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

- It wasn't cleaned well, although we were charged for cleaning fee . You could see and feel the sticky stuff on the floor when walking. - The bed sheets were not white color and didn't seem to be washed recently, or i couldn't tell if it was clean because of the color. - The host kept bugging us, asking when we would leave starting the night before and also at 10:00am in the morning while the ceckout was listed at 11:30! The windows didn't have mesh, so we couldn't leave them open.
Hi Masih, Crazy , I don’t do this often.. but I cleaned that day the apartment my self and did concentrate ! The floor was mopped with ! I only asked you twice what time you was leaving on Sunday .. due To organise my day! My cleaning lady was off and I had family activities. But you didn’t respond and I asked you kindly, for to organise my agenda! You told 10am And I thanked you for this! And saved me 1 hour and was really thankful for this!! Out of that, you left the apartment in a perfect state! Like it was never used! Very respectful from your part ! Wish you all the best !

Verified reviewThe Location was really great! Everything was in walking distance. The host Dave was really nice to us and answered all of our questions without hesitation! Also the AC was a life saver in that heat!
In the upper corner of the shower was a large area of black mold. That is a no-go as in a long stay you could get health issues! The shower tray was held together by some DIY stuff which also looked not professional. We have also found several cockroaches in the bathroom and one in the bed (!!!!) That many are a sign of an infection. Also the light in the master bedroom did not work.
Dear Guest, Why you didn’t complaint on place that we had done something? We had changed the sheets.. On the moment you stayed we had in the building an coackroach problem due of the works in the building.. and the apartment is treated against it! I am very sorry for this! Shower: Mold, we took care today 25/7/25 , I was traveling and I didn’t know about this. … we treated it, and it is gone … In October we renovate the whole bathroom !

Verified reviewGreat location close to train station and about 10mins downhill to Casino Square. Good for buses to access attractions and about 10mins to decent supermarket. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Great communication with owner and access via keypad. Great to be able to drop luggage early and checkout wasn't till 11.30. Highly recommend Cooks restaurant/takeaway along from apartment..Great food and staff. Water and a couple of bottles of wine left in fridge for us which was a nice gesture. Very clean.
AC was a welcome addition but we were advised to set it no lower than 24°. Whilst this offered some relief from heat ( there was a fan too) , I generally set AC in hotels etc to 18 - 20 as we like it cool. Perhaps an AC engineer needs to look at system to enable lower setting. 3 of us managed 11 nights but storage for clothes was extremely limited. We ended up with clothes spread across whole apartment. If you travel light it won't be an issue.
Hi Andrea, Little confusion, I told not to Put it lower as 21 degrees! But as it’s gets very hot 35-38degrees it’s advised to put it 23-24degrees to avoid overheating the Airco to break down , Yes sorry , this apartment is comfortable for 2! And very cheap for 4 ! Yes we have limited space of storage , build in cupboards and high above cupboard. Living in Monaco is very small. We preferred living space If you life here , you use your cellar to change your cloth selection to change variety in your cupboard.

Verified reviewA very secure and clean apartment that is quite walkable to many areas, and not too far from food options. If you make use of the lift at the train station, it'll save you many flights of stairs, or the gradient via the casino isn't really too bad. If parking at Des Salines, take the '2' bus to the train station, and you're very close.

But Tim found a cheaper way by park his car in the very big parking “les Salines” at the entrance of Monaco , 11-15€ per day , and take the bus to the train station 2-3min ride!
