How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a leafy residential location about a 20 minutes' walk to downtown. The grounds are lovely, and the pool enjoyable on a hot summer day. My room was very large, a change from most European city hotels.
The rooms (at least mine) desperately need updating, or at the very least maintaining. The mattress was uncomfortable (lumpy, saggy), several lights didn't work, the blinds in the bathroom were not functional, etc. I did finally get maintenance to fix the overhead bathroom light. Staff, while generally pleasant, are not very well trained; nor are they service-oriented, perhaps not surprising in a former Soviet country. The restaurant seemed under-staffed and breakfast (starting only at 8 AM!) was excruciatingly slow. A solid 3 star hotel.

Verified reviewThe room was spacious, the swimming pools were excellent, and the restaurant served great food. Breakfast was also very good
we faced challenges with the language delivery to the room no service to assist. The price also seemed on the higher side.

Verified reviewThe location is in one of the best areas of Chisinau, in a neighborhood with ambassador houses and other fancy villas. It is 10 mins on foot away from the "Valea Morilor" park. The building itself is a group of 2-3 historical houses, renovated in good taste and modernised. The complex has two swimming pools, a restaurant that serves fabulous food, very relaxing and quiet area. What I loved: - the neighborhood - the room is huge, with sofas and confortable chairs - breakfast is en carte and you can choose some delicious recipies. I loved the recipie of Eggs Benedict, but the american style pancakes were great as well - the resting area by the pool is confortable, you can order some drinks if you're at it - the staff went out of their way for us to feel comfortable. Very nice people! - the value for money is very good
- the pressure of hot water for the top floor is quite low - they are also organizing private events in the summer afternoons, so when I arrived the parking lot was full. There's plenty of room if you arrive early, or when there are no events booked. - the area is around 30 mins on foot and 10 mins by taxi from the city center. It's a trade off, for me it was fine because I loved the location.

Verified reviewThe staff is very nice and the breakfast was WONDERFUL. The grounds are beautiful. The pool was lovely.
The air conditioner in Room 8 is quite LOUD AND DID NOT COOL THD ROOM ADEQUATELY. THIS WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE PAID A HIGH PRICE. I asked if we could switch rooms, but the front desk said all the rooms were full.

Verified reviewthere were 2 pools - one for kids and one for adults. plenty of shade, and the room we stayed in was comfy and large enough for us all (2 with a kid).
Breakfast was great, but we arrived when there were lots of guests from conference that was hosted there, and therefore it took a lot of time to serve us. one guy even yelled at the waiter for taking more than half an hour to get him his breakfast. other meals are very costly, and there is no dishes that are aimed for kids in the menu. the sofa that turned to bed was not comfortable at all, and in fact even a bit dangerous for our 5 year old, who got scratched by it often.

Verified reviewThe Diplomat Club was an experience. Big and very clean rooms. I liked the location, around 15 or 20 min walk to lots of bars and restaurants. The pools area meant you could relax. Staff were largely friendly, and smiled more when you got to know them and talked. Breakfasts were superb and extensive choice.

Verified reviewThe restaurants are amazing, great food and servers. Hands down!
Amenities are great. Pools are very cold though. The rooms are super outdated. Very old carpets and furniture, everything is falling apart. Worn out towels/bed sheets, super uncomfortable beds. TV was acting up as well. For this price, you can get a much newer hotel in downtown. The receptionists are not at all friendly or welcoming either. We would never return. Overall, we were very disappointed.

Verified reviewGood location - 20 minute walk to the beautiful lake and park. City center is walkable. Room was clean, AC worked well, breakfast was fine. Rooms are soundproofed enough. Good value for money. Minibar could use more local options.
This is not a 5-star hotel. Maybe 20 years ago. Terrible mattress - very uncomfortable. No elevator. Everything looks outdated and poorly decorated. Restaurant menu is awful - had dinner once, big mistake. Staff aren't particularly friendly. Decent location with good value, but the hotel is living in the past. Fine if you just need a clean place to sleep and won't spend much time in the hotel. Don't expect luxury.

Verified reviewJunior suite's are huge and very well equipped with efficient air-con. It was like staying in a small palace. Towels, bedding, rugs, paintings, decor and furniture of a very high quality. Wonderful shaded grounds, 2 pools, extended gardens, great dining areas inside and outside. These include individual and separate, covered dining spots in the gardens, all well served by staff. Lovely breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold foods. Parasols, swimming and shaded areas a huge bonus when the city is hot. Friendly and attentive staff, very laid back and calm atmosphere. Quirky items throughout gardens, metal lizard, scorpion and bicycle to name a few. Will definitely return when next in Chisinau. Loved it !!

Verified reviewBig nice room with big bathroom
There was no hot water…we were there with our baby, 1year and 8 months old…best we had at 6 in the morning or late night was just barely heated just so we, as adults, could take a cold shower…we were told the hotel was full and to wait and take shower later but that was not true, hot water never came.
