Reviews of Friends Hostel

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The location is excellent—just a 20-minute walk from the central bus station and even closer to many popular tourist attractions. The hostel was generally clean, and the bed sheets were impeccable. I also appreciated that towels were provided free of charge, as well as lockers for secure storage. The staff were friendly and helpful, even though there was a slight language barrier at times. They accommodated my late check-in at 2 AM and allowed me to leave my bag after checkout, which was a big help. Overall, I felt well taken care of, and I would gladly recommend this hostel to other travelers.

What I didn’t like is that on the first floor, it seems everyone—or anyone passing through—has access to only one toilet and bathroom. This can become challenging, especially in the mornings and evenings when many guests need to use the facilities at the same time. Adding another bathroom or improving access would make the stay much more convenient.

The room were really comfortable and the staff was really nice and helpful.

The location is nice. The bedroom and bathroom are clean.

It was very hot inside and there was no air conditioning. The upper deck was especially hot, I almost could not sleep. Too many mosquitoes flying around. The fridge stopped working. The receptionist was sort of grumpy.

The location is very efficient and the place is okay for solo travellers. I highly recommend this hostel. Also the duets and sheets were clean, and they give a towel for free to use. The city was very clean and you can walk almost every where

Location! Immaculate! Comfy bed. Kitchen one hot plate. Free towel! No party ppl!

Just 1 toilet and 1 shower, not enough for 20 guests.

Value of money

I stayed at this hostel for 1 night and everything went smooth. The stuff is helpful. The room was just like at the pictures. beds are comfortable. If I will ever be in Chisinau again I will consider staying here again!

The only thing is that they started cleaning the room when I was still there and washing the floor with the chemicals before I checked out. Apart from it - everything else was great

The staff was t friendly at all. They don t speaknothing but Russian or Ukrainian and Don t care at all about the customers. Not helpful at all. The cleaning lady came in the morning with children just to shout all around and make up people. It looks like staff and residents are all Ukrainians and took the place, without caring at all. They never move, and smoke just by the doors so it disturb people inside. So noisy, they Don t stop with doors. No chance to have one hour sleep after two nights. Terrible experience. I never saw that in my life. And an Ukranian friend I meet few days later, told me exactly the same story. He could t understand how'they could have these positive references.

They Don t respect customers and their sleep, their confort. They smoke next doors and not further away, so smoke enter inside, even on second floor! No Give smile or help if possible without saying nothing. These gives squat the living room always. Zero positive vibrations. That s a shame. Don t obligé to. Pay two nights the first day of arrival.

the location was perfect, right in the middle of the city, close to the main points of interest. The place is nice, clean, helpful statff, room was nice and comfortable

there were only 2 bathrooms and only 1 had shower (which was on the other floor as all (most) rooms. The toilet upstairs was very old and not very nice looking, it could use some renovation/fixing.
