The bathrooms are good, though I believe the cleanliness in this area should be maintained more consistently.

I found the hostel to be very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the hostel provides everything one might need. However, I did find the room a bit small for the number of beds it accommodates. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay at this hostel.

One of the ladies at the reception seems to dislike talking to people. I understand—when you work in the service industry, it’s easy to grow tired of dealing with people. However, that’s also a sign that it might be time to look for a different job.

This is the best hostel in Chisinau. Everything was fine except for the fact that there is no stove in the kitchen.

Modern LG or Samsung air conditioner could be much more useful than current air conditioner.

Few words about Hostel City Center: Location: Hostel is located inside of the shopping mall, next to the Bristol hotel. Supermarket, café, exchange office, church, park, public transportation and local sim card shop are around the hostel. Bus #30 from Chisinau airport came almost to the hostel by making L-shape turn and then I walked another 10 minutes to the hostel. Hostel staff: Staff is very helpful and friendly. Hostel residents: There are so many middle age Russian speaking men. They live in the hostel for a long time. Some of them work as construction workers, some of them are refugees what I understood from talking with them. All long term residents were friendly and social. My room: Clean lower bed and towel have been provided. It was nice to see a lamp, a socket and shelves in my bed. Locker was in the room. Air conditioner just makes noise and doesn’t cool the room said one man who lives in the room for long term. It was very hot in my room. Modern LG or Samsung air conditioner could be much more useful than current air conditioner. But somehow I got cold and sneezing and coughing all the time. ;o( Shared space: There is a kitchen with everything needed for warming up or storing food. There is no stove for cooking! But it is not a problem as supermarket has good ready food. Filtered water was helpful to refill empty bottle as it was very hot outside and inside. Bathroom with separate showers and toilets were clean and nice. Hostel provides laundry service for separate payment. Wi-Fi worked very well in the hostel. Overall, I found Hostel City Center as a comfortable place for long term stay.

The staff were friendly overall, but i felt not particularly helpful with things like travel advice.

Great location very convenient for all sites, and decent value for money. Comfy bunk beds with curtains, and plenty of showers and toilets.

AC didn’t work well. Toilet was kinda smelly. The staff weren’t very welcoming—not terrible, but they didn’t seem to want to chat.

It really was a bit hard to find, the entrance is to the left of the Bristol hotel entrance on Mitropolit Varlaam street but it looks more like an entrance to a garage, there is a sign to the hostel though

I did ask if it be possible to check a tiny bit later but told no. This shouldn’t be much of a negative though. Just plan your stay.

The locker they gave was large and secure. Free towel to use which I totally forgot to use myself. Everything explained well.

The room has 1 small window that was closed all the time, so the smell in the room is a bit heavy. I arrived during the night, and it was hard to find it considering that it's located behind a nice hotel. The staff doesn't like to talk, so don't expect a Hi or Goodbye from them. They barely look at you.

The hostel is well located. It's walking distance from almost everything. Next to the hostel there is a supermarket and on the top floor there is a cat cafe/restaurant that has a door that connects it with the hostel. The place is quiet and clean. It has lookers in case you want to go out and leave your stuff safe.

It’s not very characterful like a backpacker hostel - more hotel / office vibes. But very tidy and modern.

Very clean and new amenities. Great location. Cat cafe next door is cute! Thanks to one particular staff member on reception who was extremely polite, friendly and helpful.

The cleanest and well managed hostel that I have been to. Clean and spacious kitchen with all needed amenities. Clean shower and toilets area. Spacious 6 bunk bed room. Very bright and welcoming staff. Very good location, few minutes walk from the centeral market. And the park is located outside the door.
