Reviews of Marco Polo, Cahul

The room was ok, we had a good room but not all the rooms are ok. Our parents had a room in the other part of the hotel and beside the fact that they had to climb a lot of stairs in the heat to the room, the Starnet was not installed on their tv so they couldn't watch at nothing at all, (and the problem wasn't solved even if we ask the reception), the shower cabin was broken etc

The breakfast could be improved. The variety of choices is extremely reduce and the service is lacking of professionalism (first morning we received the omelets but not the bread in the second morning we asked for a new pairs of cutleries and we were told that we can not receive one because the person who does the dishes didn't arrive yet and there are no clean forks. Also very unpleasant is the noise and very loud music from the nearby restaurant, 2 nights in a row up to 4 in the morning. It was impossible to sleep because of that.

The rooms are just above the restaurant and all the smell from the restaurant comes inside even with the window closed

The hotel is basically located above the Marco Polo restaurant. Rooms are quite comfortable, bathrooms are smaller but OK (some have better shower cabinets). Very nice staff and excellent service. The restaurant has very good food and drinks and breakfast was also good. The room had a very small balcony (for smokers, obviously).

The smaller room has a nicer and bigger bathroom. Electricity plugs are far from the desk. Not so many lighting choices in the room. The entrance in the hotel is through the restaurant terrace, and the stairs are narrow.

Within city center Helpful staff

Good location, facilities, friendly staff, quiet. Great shower and delicious cottage cheese pancakes.

Modern, great location, helpful staff. Smart TV was a bonus. The adjacent restaurant is very convenient.

Run out of eggs at breakfast, but I guess that was just luck. Breakfast options nearby were plenty.

It was very nice and comfortable. Except, the fact the my room was too close to the kitchen and was looking right on the street so all the smell from the kitchen was coming to the room. But in general everything was nice and clean, also the restaurant was very tasty

The hotel left a positive impression: friendly staff, quick check-in, and a delicious breakfast.

A downside was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
