How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewthe hotel is nicely located only 15 mins away from the Arcul de Triumf, 5 mins from the central market, and about 8 mins from the Stefan-cel-Mare-Boulevard in a quiet part of Chisinau's old town. The building makes a very pleasant impression from the inside as well as from the outside. Internet is fast and stable, rooms and bathrooms are fairly nicely designed, there is hot water 24/7, there is a great AC in the rooms as well as a fridge. Windows and walls are completely sound-proof. Beds are comfortable.
The hotel facilities are nice, but its management is unfortunately poor and not really professional. With average management, this hotel would be one of the best of Chisinau, I think (have stayed in several). However the current management leads to rather unpleasant experiences: the hotel advertises on its booking website that guests can rent bikes, that the rooms have city view and that it has a spa. That's unfortunately less than half of the truth: when asking at the reception for a bike I was told that none is available already since years, the "city view" is the look on the walls of the buildings around (which are only 5 to 10 m away) and the spa is not included in the (for Chisinau circumstances) fairly high room price, but needs to be paid additionally, and has fairly restrictive opening times (from 12 to 9 pm). I chose the hotel because of the explicit bike advertisement, so that this was a fairly disappointing experience. The breakfast is an issue: it is á la card - the guest needs to choose from 8 dishes (which are all fairly meat/ fat based). The taste of the menu designer was clearly Eastern European: this is certainly not bad, but fruits and dairy products are heavily underrepresented and there is no chance to ask for them separately. For breakfast there is a very limited choice of hot drinks, just coffee and only three types of tea and the glass of juice served is ok, but not impressive. Breakfast times are fairly restrictive: only available from 8 to 11 am - for business travellers that's not convenient. The staff of the hotel are not greeting the guests (with standard professional hotel friendliness), but they help if they get asked. One day electricity was gone in the entire hotel (no AC, no fridge, no internet) and it took 4 hours to bring it back. So therefore this hotel does not deserve a rating higher than 7 according to my wide hotel experiences as Genius-Level 3 booking client.

Verified reviewIncredibly clean, I agree with all the reviews that say this. Had the room right next to reception which lacks the view but honestly it was so quiet and big that I can’t complain - everything in good and working order. Staff were nice and I got to enjoy the pool to myself. Breakfasts were incredibly hearty, it was almost hard to eat them at some point given that I was full from digesting all the amazing Moldovan food I was having elsewhere!
It is a 15 minute walk from the city centre but not a dealbreaker for me

Verified reviewBeautiful building and classical style hotel. Bright and clean. There is a great restaurant near it- really tasty and fancy.
The bed is not so cozy - to soft and it’s easy to fall out of the bed if you move closer to the side.. One of the guys at the reception behaved not friendly. For me and my teen-age daughter it was a great challenge to take big suitcases up the stairs and I was said “there is no person to help”…Well..if there are stairs without a ramp to move up with heavy luggage, the hotel should have thought about “a special person” to help women with it.. Thanks to another receptionist on our way home, we were helped with our luggage.

Verified reviewThe room was large and really clean , kettle , fridge etc in room which was great. It’s about a 15 minute walk away from the centre but has a supermarket very near and a good restaurant practically next door. Breakfasts are ordered from a menu and very good. It has a SPA that you pay separately for but it really is worth it as you get the whole place to yourself !!! It was brilliant. Staff efficient
All was good.
