We stayed 2 nights as a family of 4 (children age 5 and 8) and had a good experience. We walked up during a sunny and warm afternoon. With breaks it took us around 3 hours. Warmly welcomed upon arrival and shown to our little huts. Clean and cosy. We Joined dinner(fish and goulash), good food and large portions. Cold evening, Cosy and warm in the eating area. Afterwards we played multiple games (available at the camp). During the night a storm with Lots of rain. Little houses Well isolated and waterproof. 🙂. Earplugs came in handy during storm. Good breakfast. Large portion. Options to have lunch sandwich. Multiple Walks and viewpoints available in the area. Next evening we had pie and vegetable Rice. Drinkable water available. Full camp clean and well maintained. Hosts kind, friendly, and relaxed. Breakfast included. Food we paid between 12 and 15 euro/plate. Sodas 3 euro. We had a great stay and experience. We highly recommend. Children enjoyed the campground and all the games. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality

Amazing stay by the mountains . Everything was very clean and the sleep place really comfortable. The fish dinner was gorgeous . Perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature.

Sleeping houses are rather small, which may could be a bit inconvenient for taller people, we (about 160cm) were just about able to stand upright in there. But you probably only gonna be in there for sleeping anyway and otherwise either outside or in the common room.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the camp. We hiked up there with our not so light backbacks, which took us about 2h from the lake, but was definitely manageable. Otherwise they offer a transport for 30€. The Camp is in a beautiful location with stunning views and gives of a calm, relaxing energy. The sleep houses are rather small but absolutely fine for sleeping and they have a couple of shelfes so you can store your stuff. The common area in the restaurant is great for evening hangouts and playing cards or something. There you also can charge your phones and if you want you can book wifi for 3€ per person for your stay. You also can get dinner (15€ per person). We strongly recommend the Fish-trout, it was amazing! Lunchpackets are available too, though we didn't take them so can't say anything about it. And as of July 2025 the pool seen in the pictures is there again! (read a comment before that at a time it wasn't) Overall Dajana is a friendly and very helpful host. We definetly recommend staying there if in the national park!

No kitchen for guests but the host did allow us to use theirs for one night of our stay - best to bring your own cooking gear up if staying longer than a night.

Amazing location in the hills above biogradska lake, one of a kind experience! Very peaceful. The host was very friendly and welcoming and provided delicious breakfasts. Highly recommend Make sure to keep an eye out for the shortcuts on the walk up and down to save time!

Staying at Camp Janketic was a lovely experience. You get to fully immerse into nature. We enjoyed the hiking, the food and the company of other guests, while at the meantime there is enough space to take a moment for yourself. We stayed for two nights and would recommend a two or three night stay. A special shout-out to Dajana, she is the nicest host. If you love nature, definitely do not sleep on an opportunity to stay here!

It was an awesome place. The mountain, the views, the camp, the dinner... The woman in charge is a great host, and cares a lot about the guests. They have fresh water and drinks. Toilets are really clean. You can see that they really care for the details.

Kamp Janketic is one of those places that you need to see to understand why it gets such great reviews. It’s possible to drive from the lake - with care - but most people choose to walk up. It’s mostly uphill, but it’s shaded woodland, and if you stick to the road it’s less steep than the short cut paths. We did a combination of road/short cuts. The setting is sublime. Quiet and peaceful, with great walks all around. Our hut was literally the size of a double mattress, with a light, hooks and a storage shelf. There’s a small window for light and ventilation. There’s a couple of shared toilets and a hot water shower. But what makes It special is the family, and in particular Dajana, who really is the host with the most. She makes everyone feel welcome and special. Her mum does most of the cooking - with some help from her - and the food is top notch. River trout is the specialty, and the traditional breakfast of donuts, cheese, blueberry jam and honey was great. We only stayed one night, but now I’ve seen and experienced the place, I’d love to return sometime.

Exceptional location with beautiful landscapes, a really cute and confortable cabine with enough space for 2 people, shower and toilets are really clean, hiking tracks near the camp. Diana and her family are very friendly and take care of everything to make you have a wonderful stay. (if you don't have a 4x4, you should ask the host to drive you up the camp because the road can be dangerous and muddy) Would definitely recommend the Kamp Janketic!

We had a bit of mold in the Katun

Hello, we had a great time at Janketic! It was our first night in Montenegro so we had a great start there/ Diana was very helpful and nice from the beginning and through out the evening and morning breakfast. the food was great and fresh and so was the company, guests from different countries were sitting together, dining talking drinking and playing cards.. Diana speaks good English and French & the atmosphere was superb, we highly recommend ! Michael & Lee
