Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was totally worth the journey but it would be good to be aware of how to get to the camp before you go. You drive to the border crossing with Bosnia ( along an amazing scenic road)- pass out the Montenegro side and then turn immediately right down a road signposted to the camp - it is approx 8 km down that road, the last 2km are not paved but we were in hire car and it was completely fine. We did have to queue in border crossing queue for approx 30mins but I would definitely do it again
The camp is in a magical location on the river, the staff are lovely, the food is great and there is a fabulous sense of peace and natural beauty, far away from it all. The room and bathroom were very clean and in good condition and the beds were comfy. The bar and restaurant by the river are very special. The river is amazing for swimming and jumping and we did the brilliant rafting trip with the lovely guide Davide. We would love to go back and do the 3 day trip.

NetherlandsOverall maintanence of the camp could improve, some accommodation is quite dated, wooden bunk beds extremely creaking (but one gets used to it..) . Mealtimes are 9am and 9pm, so it is a late dinner. Food is filling but local, simple fare, the concept was not explained at all so there is a lot of food waste as it was not clear if the soup is a starter or the main deal, for example. Also meals are quite expensive and so this turned out a rather expensive stay very out of proportion to the actual simple setup.
Location is great right by the river with options to jump in from a rock and great for kids to run around freely. Staff was friendly and the rafting was fun. Without the rafting, not sure what else one could do there for it is quite steep and also far off anything else along a dirt road. We stayed in the wooden bungalows and they are quite charming. Rafting instructors are lovely guides and company.

HungaryThe walls are very thin, everything can be overheard from the rooms beside. There are a lot of cats - if you do not like them, don’t come to this place.
A bit difficult to reach (steep stony road), but worth the try. Very nice, calm place, right at the riverbank. Simple but clean room. Very good breakfast, delicious home-made food. Very nice staff.

SlovakiaEven listed as parking available, we had to park car outside of camp as according to reception parking inside required additional charge. Their website says onsite parking within boking room accomodation, so it was a bit confusing

United States[OFF SEASON] we were glad to find a place open while bike touring. But the listing should be updated for the off season-- to reflect that the restaurant is closed, and no markets are nearby. The heat was turned on a few hours before we arrived, but due to freezing temperatures, it took about 12 hours for the room to really warm up. Again, an off season issue to be aware of-- The place is more or less shut down.
[OFF SEASON] Joe the caretaker was fabulous, kind, and accommodating. A gorgeous spot, with tons of kittens and great river views.

United KingdomThe bed creaked on every movement and as the rooms weren't soundproofed we could also hear our neighbours' beds too.
A stunning location to get away from it all. We were there in September and there were very few other guests. It felt like a private paradise. The terrace by the restaurant has great river views. Great home cooked food, buffet style for breakfast and dinner. Lovely campfire.

United KingdomTo get to the camp, you have to turn off the main road in between the police checkpoint and the Bosnian border control. The road can be tight with all the traffic and rafting trailers. The final 2km to the camp is a narrow rocky track - you don't need a 4x4, but it feels a little bumpy at times! Also, breakfast and dinner are at set times and we felt that 9pm was a bit later for dinner. Other than that, everything was great!
The camp is in a stunning location right by the Tara River with a little swimming spot by the restaurant. The views are gorgeous and you get such a sense of peace and isolation. The staff are very friendly and helpful with excellent English, especially the rafting guides who are really professional. We did the long rafting trip and I would highly recommend. The kitchen catered so well to our vegan diet, especially for dinner. You can expect a vegetable stew, rice and coleslaw/salad. The portions are absolutely huge! We also enjoyed seeing all the kittens running around and playing around the restaurant 🙂

BelgiumEverything was great, one tip: our cabin was roght next to the barrier to get on the camp site. Lots of people left their car running while searching for the reception. Maybe put a sign near the barrier to make clear where the reception is located and to ask people to turn off their car while waiting.
Nice location, friendly staff and good food for dinner. They made a vegetarian option even though we did not request it beforehand.

United KingdomThe twenty minute drive off the main road leading down to the campsite. Rather scary - not for the faint hearted - and preferable to have a four-wheel drive!
We were given a lovely warm welcome on arrival after a very arduous journey up from Budva. We stayed in a 3-bed lodge which was perfectly comfortable and had everything we needed. Situated right on the bank of the Tara River, with access to go swimming. Lovely dinner and fire pit in the evening and breakfast in their onsite restaurant overlooking the river. Our white water rafting was arranged by the host as well and this was all very well organised and great fun.

NetherlandsThe road towards it is not the easiest, housing is basic, wifi/cellular data only when you are lucky. But of no importance at all given the amazing atmosphere over there! Go for it!
You arrive and then: total relaxation, no sounds, just the river. Friendly dog and cats to greet you and cuddle. Good talks about life with Alen, sharing our rakia’s, he touched a spot in me for sure! Too bad we were there only for one night, need to come back longer to explore the river! And of course re-experience the funny border crossing where you can slip by since you stay in Montenegro😅
