How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewIt was far from the city center, so taking a taxi was a waste of money. Each room had a water heater, but the one in my room only worked for 6 to 7 minutes, which meant I had to finish my shower in that time 🤣. I also lost two hair ties in my room, which I had bought in Cyprus 😔. And the most important thing was that the safe didn’t work

Verified reviewThe hotel is perfectly situated, close to several beaches, closest beach is right across the street. 15 min walk to the wonderfull Sveti Stephan beach, and before arriving you pass by 3 amazing beaches! I personnaly loved the Queen's beach ( around 6 min walk from the hotel). The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The view is breath taking! The room facilities function properly ( eventhough the rooms is a bit small). The staff were very accomodating and are available all day till 11pm.
There is some sound isolation issues between rooms. It could ruin a good night sleep if there are some noisy people in the hotel. Windows are double glazed toward the road, still it's a busy road and there is some traffic noise. Breakfast could use some improvments: add more vegetables, add some sweet stuff like home made cake or pasteries. It would have been great if the hotel had a restaurant for lunch or dinner ( I think it's in progress)

Verified reviewThe positive side was that the accommodation was clean and nicely presented, with a great location close to waterfront restaurants and within walking distance to the beach.
Unfortunately, we could barely sleep during our 3-night stay due to extreme street noise and very poor sound insulation — we also heard everything from neighboring rooms. Even in the upgraded apartment, the bed was even more uncomfortable and we still couldn’t sleep. The beds were extremely hard, almost like sleeping on the floor, and the pillows were strange and uncomfortable. After one particularly sleepless night, we were so tired that we tried to rest on sun loungers at the beach — just to recover. Not what you expect after paying over €500 for a hotel stay. We asked to change rooms early in our stay but were told it wasn’t possible. Later, staff falsely claimed we had declined the offer. We also weren’t told about the window shutter until the last day — and when we did try it, it made no difference at all. The noise was still overwhelming. When we raised our concerns, management blamed us for not checking that the hotel is located next to a road — which felt very unprofessional and dismissive. We asked for a refund for at least one night due to the lack of sleep and how it affected our ability to enjoy our holiday — but this was denied. Sadly, we left Budva feeling exhausted rather than rested. The hotel should invest in proper soundproofing and take better care of their guests.

Rooms not soundproofed and they are very small compared to the pictures. Not enough storage space, fridge jammed with drinks for which had to pay extra, not given basic amenities like drinking water, weigh scale and duvet. Bed linen was not changed every day. Was disturbed twice at 0100 at night and 0700 in the morning knocking at our door which we reported and 3 lights not working in the room.

Regarding the bed linen, we would like to clarify that it is not standard practice in our hotel — nor in most 5-star hotels — to change bed linen every single day, unless specifically requested by the guest. Had we been informed of such a request during your stay, we would have gladly accommodated it. Unfortunately, we did not receive any such communication. As for the amenities, we provide items in accordance with our hotel's standards, and additional items such as drinking water or duvets are always available upon request. Also, the water in your room was drinkable. The minibar contains chargeable items, which is standard in hotels of our category, and this is clearly indicated. We regret the inconvenience caused by the disturbances at night and the lighting issues — this is certainly not in line with the service we strive to provide, and we have addressed this internally. Verified reviewThe hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the sea and several beaches. I especially liked the free safe private parking, which is a big plus if you’re coming by car. The hotel also offers great facilities like a pool, gym, and sauna, making the stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and well-organized, and everything felt fresh and relaxing.

Verified reviewThe room was very clean with good air conditioning. Good shower pressure but you are on a water heater which will run out at some point. Good location for Sveti Stefan beaches. Breakfast was ok.
There was no iron/ironing board in the room, when we asked there was only an iron and no ironing board to use. There is no phone in room to call reception when needed. In the room there is a list of costs for damages which made us feel like the standard of guests wasn’t very high. They also check your room before you leave which made us think the same.

Verified reviewOne of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – always smiling and ready to assist with anything we needed, including organizing transfers. You can really feel they care about their guests. Breakfast was fantastic every single morning – everything was fresh, homemade, warm, and super tasty. There was such a great variety of options, and the best part? We got to enjoy it with a stunning sea view. It honestly felt like something out of a movie. The hotel itself is beautiful – very clean, peaceful, and tastefully decorated. The pool area was a highlight for us – perfectly clean and with an incredible view of the sea. We could have spent the whole day there just relaxing. We also loved the wellness facilities. There’s a nice gym if you want to stay active, and the sauna was such a great way to unwind after a long day. Everything was in top condition. All in all, this place exceeded all our expectations. It’s rare to find such a perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and warm hospitality. We’re already planning to come back – highly, highly recommended!

The staff was unfriendly borderline rude. It was like you were interfering with their day When I tried to explain a situation the comment was; "you booked last minute" in which my response was; if you are not capable of accommodating last minute reservation then your property shouldn't show being available
Dear Angela, We are truly disappointed to read your review, especially knowing how far from the truth your comments are. First and foremost, your claim is entirely misleading. You arrived earlier than your scheduled check-in time, and we accommodated you free of charge, despite that not being part of our policy. Our team made an extra effort to welcome you earlier, and it’s quite ironic—and frankly, unfair—that you now criticize the service as “unfriendly.” What’s even more absurd is your complaint about the room. You personally chose and booked that exact room through the platform. To now claim that it felt like a "closet" is not only inaccurate, but also dishonest. You got exactly what you selected and paid for. We are extremely proud of our hospitality and this is the first time we’ve received such an unfounded and false review. It’s disappointing to see someone attempt to discredit our work with fabricated complaints after we went out of our way to accommodate them.
