How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A wonderful retreat just outside the city, surrounded by nature with a forest nearby. It’s peaceful, quiet, and the starry night sky is absolutely breathtaking. The center of Žabljak is only a short drive away. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, always ready to help and even treated us to some delicious local snacks.

Location, around 2,2km from centre of Zabljak, it takes like 30 minutes to walk to the centre, but it is doable.
We stayed only for one night in cheapest room for three people, but it was a great choice! Room is a little bit on a smaller side but it wasnt much of an issue for us. Beds were comfortable, We only got one bedside table but there is a desk. TV is also provided, which i didnt expect! We had shared bathroom, it was spacey, shower had enough room and worked with no problems. We didnt use it, but there is also shared kitchen on first floor on which we had room and table in front of the house. Location is little bit out of hand, a bit far to go by foot to the centre, which is only tangible downside, which obviously we knew when we booked this room. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here, even the cheapest room is great, would be no problem staying for 3 to 5 days.

Cleanliness was perfect! The room smells so nice, they use nice fresheners. The host was very polite. We had a shared bathroom, but because we were the only guests the bathroom was only for us. The best value for money!

Everything is fine, I managed to get a good night's sleep and rest. Wonderful hosts, quick feedback via Booking, warm clean room. I recommend it! P. S. From the courtyard there is a great view of the stars, for fans of astronomy it's the best :)

The host was very kind and lovely and it was a pleasure to stay at their house. The room and the bathroom were very clean, I liked it very much. I had everything I needed in the kitchen to make my own coffee/tea and also cook something fast if I needed it. I'm very satisfied with this location.

The room wasn’t soundproof, so if we had a couple of louder neighbours, we knew very well about them.
Perfectly located accommodation for trips around Durmitor, humble, but spotless and very warm and kind. We were offered a breakfast from local sources, which was really good as well.

Loved our stay here! The family were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is clean, homely and a great location to be close to Durmitor National Park.

- I liked everything as I mentioned in the pros, you get what you pay for so don't expect modern high-end european standard. - perhaps carpet on the stairs could be somehow secured - it was rather easy to fell of the stairs We had a car so np but please keep in mind that without a car it is a good 20-30 minutes to the Zabljak city center
Really great place for the price - nice hospitable owners, a little bit off the city but thanks to this the place is more quiet (whole Zabljak is really quiet area tho), nice place to chill next to the house. It is rather simple accommodation but considering the cost it is great for a night or two. Also we ordered the breakfast - load of Montenegros specialities and a lil bit of Rakija is also included :) Definitely would recommend for a short stay
