How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Friendly and super helpful staff, in particular the manager who could not do enough for me - arranged some bikes for me to use and also advised re buses to Pec. Very good hospitality shown to guests. Loved the bar / restaurant verandah where you could have a drink and admire the view. Peaceful and quiet - only a very short walk to the centre.

Verified reviewExtremely welcoming personnel, shop with everything you would need right in the building of the hotel. The restaurant in the building is very good. Perfect view on the mountains from any window. As the hotel owner told us - if you live in our hotel, you are the part of our family. And you can feel that it is true. I definitely recommend this place if you need to stay in Gusinje.

Verified reviewWe have got nice room in 4th floor with main bedroom facing garden side. You can see they invest in renovations, room has new floor, nice beds and quite new aircon. Plastic double glassed windows ensure quiet time during night. Highlight of our stay was very good hotel restaurant. Breakfast was tasty with good variety like sweets, jam, pancake, fried eggs, sausages (all of this you can eat every morning) plus juice and real espresso or cappuccino (ask for coffee with milk). Nice dinners with more than 10 meals prepared plus salads and sweets. Main meal like pasta/spaghetti or Gulash starts at 5Eur, big beer 1.80EUR. In restaurant there is new covered terrace and they invested into new comfortable chairs. For the price you pay it is excellent choice especially with staff always helpful and smiling. Very close to main hiking trails and below hotel is quite big supermarket which is open till late hours.
Even you can see they did big improvements in rooms, still you can find some details lacking basic maintenance - like missing socket cover (quite dangerous) or shower holder or towel holders etc. Unfortunatelly when we checked in they tried to gave us small room (even we ordred 35m2 Quadruple room) but when I complained it was quickly solved to our satisfaction, from this moment everything else was very professional. Maybe small advice to owner (it was clearly visible how he tries to do the best for guests), even only 2 guests comming, if they ordered quadruple room dont try to put them to smaller one as the size matter and 14m2 is different than 35m2, especially if we plan to spend there 4 days. If it happens and the ordered room is not available, please offer better room... As I said, we were very satisfied with everything and would like to come back!

Verified reviewBreakfast was alright, staff were absolutely lovely, location was solid, view from the room was great.
Where to start, the towels we had were stained and covered in holes, the wardrobe had someone's coat in it, the balcony was occupied by a giant neon sign, exposed wiring for the electrics, room didn't look anything like the photos, pillows were like a sack of spuds, the glass on the tv stand was broken.

1. Not possible to pay with a credit card for the accomodation. 2. The place is obviously old. The rooms haven't been renovated for a very long time. 3. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling. 4. The light in the bathroom was very poor.

Verified reviewAmazing location, 1 min to the bus station. Staff is super friendly, they meet us at check-in, show us everything. Also breakfast is included, but we checked out early because of the mountain hiking and the host offered to leave the breakfast in front of the door - that was really nice, so we can have breakfast in the mountains. Bed is comfy, it was great to spend a night in this place.
Room is quite shabby, it would be good to make a renovation, also the same for the shower.
