Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesYou are at the mercy of the weather in this part of Madagascar. Plan carefully and leave enough time to travel and do activities. Money is difficult in Iles aux Nattes. No atm (there are atms on the main island) and no credit cards accepted. Bring cash or have mvola/orangemoney/taptapsend/etc.
Maningory is a nice set of bungalows and restaurant closest to Sainte Marie on Iles aux Nattes. It has cheaper bunglows in the back and slightly more expensive ones just on the beach - these are better. Maningory has a good restaurant with a limited menu and a nice little bar. Note that arriving depends on a ferry ride so arriving late can be tricky and arriving in bad weather isn't possible.

NorwayLittle engagement for our stay, few proposals for activities (exepr a great whale safari) and little happening in the bar and restaurant during the night (might just be the guests who likes solitude). The owner feels a bit brute and not engaging. The beach is not the best place to swim during low-tide, but can walk 100-200 meters and then a bit better! Most irritating might be that everything needs to be payed cash (even for the room), so bring s lot of cash or be ready to take several trips to empty rhe Atm’s at the main island.
Great allocation on Nosy Nato, walkable and reachable from Nosy Boraha. The familybungalow was really great, clean and comfortable - with a perfect view straight on the beach. The staff in the restaurant, boat and reception are really nice and serviceminded. Food is fine and varied, and prices ok. Loved saying at the island, with the canoes and tuktuks taking you from here to there. Lovely slow life, and if lucky you get whales outside in the morning and lemurs at the beach.

FinlandA fan would have been nice in the room.
The location is a paradise, on a beautiful calm beach (as many hotels in Ile aux Nattes). The hotel offered a transportation by boat to our next destination. The restaurant staff was very helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and bathroom is good with hot water.

United KingdomI found it a bit quiet and odd to be in the restaurant all by myself!
Lovely position overlooking the beach and friendly staff. Unfortunately I was the only one staying the first night and only a few other guests arrived during my stay so a bit quiet (maybe that’s a positive for some)

United KingdomNothing to do with the hotel, but pack mosquito repellent as there’s a lot!
The location is absolutely amazing, great for the beach and for walking into the villages. We stayed in a bungalow further back from the beach but you could still see the sea and be there within 30 seconds - perfect! Food was lovely and they accommodated making me vegetarian food (although limited as with a lot of the rest of Madagascar). Staff were lovely, we planned to move around Ile aux nattes but ended up staying here the whole time as we loved it.

GermanyWhile the food was very good it was also a bit pricey and we would have liked more "traditional madagascian" options. We once ordered something not on the regular the menu and it tasted great.
Dircetly At a beautiful beach, directly in front of your bungalow. Actually the most stunning beach all over Ile aux Nattes. Food was very good. Rooms were very clean. Nice place to relax. If you order something not on the regular menu this is no big deal. Staff was very helpful.

GermanyAlain has a great and attentive team. The food is class has always delighted us! The hotel has a dog of the house, which we have grown very fond of (Pistache). The location is great, quiet with a beautiful beach. Our bungalow (with electricity and hot water) was great! We were there 5 nights and would come back every time! Thank you for this really nice stay - ile aux nattes is a little paradise!!!
