Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This guest House is a very good option to visit Tana as it is located in a quiet street near to the main things to visit in the city. The room was clean and well-prepared. It also has a strong wifi in the bedroom and hot water. The staff was polite and helpful

AustriaRoom number 2: One of the 2 beds has an uncomfortable sagging mattress. In August the room was very cold at night 18°. A heater would be like a gift from heaven. The breakfast was too simple.
Room number 2: The room is large enough to feel comfortable. The curtains block out the light in the morning which makes for a nice sleep. One of the 2 beds has a good, hard mattress. The pillows are very comfortable and the thick blanket was God sent ! Good hot water shower. The kettle and the provided coffee and tea were very useful. Fridge in the room with mini bar service. Throughout the night it was quiet and calm. The nice terrace with a great view in front of the room was very inviting. The family operating the Guesthouse is very friendly and kind. Also their children and the whole staff ( driver, cleaning maids, security guards...) were very friendly and helpful. The location and the house itself with the comfortable courtyard are great. Good bright lights in the bedroom.

AustraliaA really lovely guest house, located in a great spot as a tourist. The staff go above and beyond, and were lovely to deal with. There are many food options within a ten minute walk, and the area is safe. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and it's very reasonably priced. Would recommend!

HungaryNothing I didn’t like
One of the best places I’ve stayed at during my 2 years trip. The room is very cozy, big and very clean. There is hot shower, a kettle and fridge in the room. And great views from the terrace. The location is great, walking distance to the palace and market. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with anything you need. They also speak English. There is a big supermarket nearby with cooked meals, sandwiches and pastries so you can stock up for your long trips.

United KingdomEverything was great. Lovely people who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and the location is within walking distance of all you need and feels very safe and secure. They organised a pickup from the airport at a fair price. We are going back again next week.

JapanThe only minor concern was that the room felt slightly dim overall, particularly the bathroom, which could benefit from brighter lighting. Aside from that, I was very satisfied with my stay.
I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The security was reliable, the entrance gate was securely closed and a guard was present at all times. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating; although I only had EURO cash, they kindly accepted it for payment. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveler and was equipped with a fan and refrigerator. The location is also convenient, with well-known restaurants and a church just a few minutes' walk away.

GermanyIt is almost perfect, just if people in other rooms make noise then this can be heard, although in the lake view room only very little, so that one is definitely the best one
It is a place like home. The building is colonial and that is visible in many details, you can feel like being in another century, but at the same time there are all necessary amenities provided, there is fast WiFi and the shower is constantly hot. The rooms are so beautiful and clean. The best one is the lake view room with a balcony with a view towards the Lac Anosy and the city centre. What’s more, the owners are very kind and helpful, they even helped me to find a restaurant nearby where I could pick up dinner

CanadaThe upstairs neighbors are quite noisy (they told me this as well after I checked in) but the staff knows this and are working on solutions already to be in place soon. Make sure you bring ear plugs or ANC headphones (those helped me sleep). Wifi was a bit slow, but I was able to do the necessary admin I needed to do on my laptop.
The room and design is gorgeous, spacious and so thoughtful! The location is central and walking distance to many amenities and landmark. Bonus - there was a TV, with YouTube which really helped me relax and feel at home. Other amenities included like having kettle in the room and tea were an extra touch. Many restaurants walking distance, beautiful park (Ambohijatovo Garden) near by. The relaxing patio is great, I love the views. The family and staff are kind and helpful; I was treated like a local/friend. I needed help with some things like airport ride and laundry - they were able to meet my needs. Their pets are sweet and playful.

United StatesThe building is old and I could hear everything the people above me were doing. The WiFi doesn’t really work, as is the case in most budget hotels here
The rooms are lovely in a historic wooden building with high ceilings and great views. The terrace is lovely. The rooms are simple and tasteful and very clean. The staff is super helpful and the breakfast on my terrace was lovely. The Urban hotel is just across the street. They have a wonderful bar/cafe/restaurant with excellent coffee and food at good prices. They also have great WiFi if you need to work or download anything.

TurkeyThere are no nets for the beds or windows. The only option is the chemical burners which don’t feel so good to breathe during the night.
