How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCozy new hotel on a very good and quiet location in the heart of Bistra mountain and the ski center.
No classic hotel breakfast. We didn’t expect such a very basic breakfast with a half of a tomato, slice of cucumber and small omelette.

Verified reviewHotel is new, very clean, beds are really comfortable, wifi is good, parking is available and free, staff on the reception is very polite and helpfull but lacking in skills a bit, but since this is a new hotel that should improve with experience. One info which might be positive for some people, and negative for the others - restaurant doesn't serve any alcoholic drinks. Me personally would put it in negative, but i had no characters left there so i put it here. Unrelated to the hotel - this is an excellent city to stay during the summer, because the nights are fresh even when the rest of Macedonia is burning on 40 degrees
bathroom - the toilet and shower are not separated in any way. You can comfortably sit on the toilet while taking a shower. Rest of the bathroom also get flooded during the shower. Bathroom is equipped with water scoop, but for 100€/night i really didn't expect i'll need to mop the bathroom floor after every shower. Next thing is the wall that separates the bedroom from the bathroom. This is a glass wall, and even though it has a black stripe over the part of it, on opposite wall of the bathroom there is full size mirror, so basically, when ever you sit on the toilet, everyone in the room can see you. Same goes for the shower (check the photos). And one more thing; even though bathroom are new and seem to be fully equipped (hair dryer, soap dispenser, showergel, detail mirror) there are no hangers on which you could hang a towel. Breakfast - breakfast nominally starts at 8:00 which is too late as it is. But it's not a buffet, they are preparing individual meals, so in reality you have no chance of getting breakfast before 08:20. We even tried to ask for it the night before, and they said ''sure, no problem'', but in the morning there was same thing. Next thing is the breakfast itself; as i said before it's not buffet, but you are also not offered with any choices. They just tell you to sit down and breakfast will be served ''shortly''. After 20 minutes you are presented with the chicken soup - maybe it's a cultural thing, but i have travelled all over Balkans and never ever i got soup for breakfast, and in this case, a non-optional soup. After the soup, came a plate of following combo: plain omelette, two slices of salami, one slice of ham, one stick of cheese, one piece of spread cheese, one small jam, one small honey, two slices of cucumber and one of tomato. That's it - all non-optional.

Verified reviewNice new hotel in a beautiful area of North Macedonia. We only stayed one night as we were traveling elsewhere but had some time to enjoy the facilities including the spa and wellness. It's decently sized with a nice pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was nice as well.
Bathroom with shower curtain was suboptimal as almost everything got wet. Also the walls seemed a bit thin, we could hear the guests next door have a 'great time'.

We booked the hotel based on the comments and the rating on booking, to our surprise it was the worst choice we ever had. First, we entered the hotel and there was an reception person who didn't know English at all even few basic words and it was impossible to communicate with him, so he called the waiter of the restaurant to translate, in addition, he asked us to leave our passports with him at the reception until the next day, how its possible in a tourist place the hotel employee doesn't know English and why should we leave the passport with someone?? After about twenty minutes of negotiating he only agreed to take a picture of the passports with phone and we went up to the room. The room looked fine, but the bathroom was with the shower, which by the way was not indicated anywhere (see photo) the feeling was like we're in a hostel. Also there was a vanity box that was supposed to contain things for personal care but there was nothing there. When we decided to take shower there was cold water, we went down to the reception and again with the help of the waiter we realized that they did not turn on the heating!!!! In the morning when we went down to breakfast, theres no buffet option, they offered an omelette or soup (at 9am) we took omelettes which was perfectly fine, we asked for butter and the waiter brought water, we told him not water but butter, he brought a sweet spread, only after we showed a picture he realized that and after about five minutes he brought the butter when we had already finished eating. We made this booking based on Spa facilities, in real the Spa had a pool and sauna rooms were cold and not working, the jacuzzi was empty of water. We payed full price without any discount depending the facilities that should be available for all the guests. Anyway, we were just waiting to get out of this hotel! It is not recommended at all.

Verified reviewThe staff tried their best and the hotel is new.
Most of the Spa facilities listed in booking, including the gym were NOT WORKING or not switched on/ prepared, for example the heated loungers (we had to turn these on ourselves) there were no fresh towels available in the Spa, no one came to make sure we were comfortable, Hamman and the slat room appeared not to be working, or the Jacuzzi. Also, turns out there is no alcohol allowed in the Restaurant or reception or for sale in the hotel. Breakfast limited to eggs/omelette, no cereal for the kids, waiter friendly but water served in plastic bottles, no glasses. No alcohol could be purchased and although allowed in your room, there were no glasses available. Views disappointing from luxury suite, btter from the standard rooms, of which we booked 3 for the family and one suite for us!
