Very friendly and helpful host. Excellent communication. Great location.

There was some noise from the street, but this was compensated by the location.

I have travelled a lot. Stayed in hundreds of hotels and hostels. This is without a doubt the best place. Nicola, the manager is absolutely fantastic. You will be taken care of extremely well. As an added bonus, the place is basically on the beach and in the middle of the old town.. Don't expect any luxury. But if you want a service you've never experienced before, this is the place for you.

The apartment’s location is perfect, very close to all the main attractions in Ohrid. The room was very clean and well equipped. On top of that, Nikola is an amazing host. He waited for me at the bus station and picked me up. He was always available and offered to also drop me at the station when I left for Tirana. He definitely goes above and beyond and that improves the experience altogether.

The apartment is very clean and comfortable.. It’s perfectly located in the heart of the old town, just steps away from the lake, making it an ideal spot to explore and relax. Nikola is easygoing, as if we’ve known each other for years. He was very helpful throughout my stay, offering plenty of great ideas for places to eat and things to do. I will be back !

We found Apartments Authentic when we were first staying in Ohrid and decided to stay longer but our previous accommodation had no future rooms that week. It was fantastic in every way, and we will definitely return to both Ohrid and these apartments because 3-4 days is not enough – you need a week or more. Nikola and his wife were so welcoming (just like everyone in Macedonia) and so informative. The apartment was gorgeous with everything needed for a short or long stay including two bedrooms, living room, fully fitted kitchen and private balcony. It is right in the middle of the old town with a balcony partially overlooking Beach Saraiste. The brilliant Nikola also gave us a ride to Ohrid bus station to catch our early onward coach to Tirana – thank you so much for the ride and everything else. It could not have been better.

From the moment, Nikola picked me up from bus terminal, I felt like home. The location is very good. You are directly at the beach and the famous walking path. I really enjoyed my morning coffee with the view at the view. The apartment is clean. Beside the apartment, Nikola and his wife made my stay very memorable. They are just very friendly and welcoming human beings. If I am going to Ohrid again, definitely booking them

They only accept cash payment. So keep that in the mind to avoid any further stress

Nikola and his family welcomed me to Ohrid, as if I was an old friend! During my one-week stay, I experienced incredible hospitality: #1. Nikola personally picked me up from the bus station when I arrived and dropped me off again when I left. This was something unexpected that I really appreciated. #2. He invited me out for drinks on two occasions. The first time, he drove me to a hilltop restaurant a few miles outside the city, with great sunset views of Ohrid. The second time, he brought me to a fantastic local spot that I never would have found on my own. #3. He offered really useful "from a local" advice and put me in touch with excellent tour guides, cafes, and restaurants - always pointing me toward the most authentic experiences. #4. On my final day, he kindly arranged for my laundry to be done free of charge, which was a huge help after several days of travel. Throughout my stay, Nikola was always responsive and helpful over WhatsApp. He is a very genuine person and his passion for what he does is obvious, and I can’t recommend the experience highly enough! Nikola is probably the best host in Ohrid with excellent communication, smooth check-in & out, handy local tips, and very generous support in any circumstances. I wouldn't think twice to stay at their homely family house next time I visit the town.

Nikola's place has possibly the best location in Ohrid. The apartment is clean and well equipped. Not to mention that Nikola is a fantastic host, the best we've ever had. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He was super helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Situated in the old town, close to everything. Owner was brilliant, much hi to him! Everything clean, owner let us leave the bags for the day after we left

Would have been nice it the pillows were softer, the bathroom is private but not in the room

Nikola is a very good host, helpful, caring, kind. The room I stayed in was very clean. The host shared all the information about Ohrid with me and helped me a lot. He picked me up from the bus station, a very nice thought. Thank you for everything, if I come to Ohrid again, I will stay here again.

No brainer ! All smashingly PERFECT !

The kindest staff I have ever come across! They were super helpful with checking in, carrying luggage, etc. Clean and spacious rooms and the location is amazing. The Jazz Inn is also just next door, so it's really fun to stop by if you're traveling with friends!

The hosts were extremely nice and ready to help. The place is well equipped and the location is great. It was a real pleasure staying at Authentic!

Perhaps the fact that the apartment has no independent entrance but guests need to walk through the hosts' living room could be made more explicit in the property description. It was not a problem at all (the house was empty most of the time, and the interaction with the hosts was extremely pleasant anyway), but it would be good to know in advance. Also, the internet connection was slow at times. Other than this, everything was just perfect!
