Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeFront desk arranged an airport transfer for me and assured me that the driver would take card. Upon arriving at the airport, the driver turned to me and gestured cash only. Had to scramble to the nearest ATM to withdraw but luckily there was one at the airport and the driver was patient enough to wait.

ItalyThe breakfast was average, the Asian food was just mediocre (I don't expect a French style croissant in Mongolia, but not even the dumplings were good), and the breakfast room crowded.
Very kind staff, I arrived early morning after a long flight and they arranged an early check in (you pay 50% of the daily rate, but I got the room at 7am and it included the breakfast). I was also upgraded to the Ambassador Suite for free (!). The room was a small flat, with two bathrooms (the main one also with the heated floor) and a great view on the main square. The hotel is in a very central location, just next to the Galleria Mall (Gobi Cashmere!) and the main square. Most of the city centre is at walking distance.

AustraliaCoffee could be better. The breakfast room on level 3 does not have any view. Hard to see the salad bar due to poor lighting. The Premier Lounge on level 25 had a great view. Drinks and food a bit more expensive there. Would have loved a pool. Gym was a bit small and there were no yoga mats to do floor exercises on. Food in International Restaurant could be better quality. They also brought our desserts when we had only started eating the main course. Happily they took them back until a better time. We heard a little noise from a band in the evenings coming across the square in our bedroom on level 22. This did not keep us awake though.
Impressive foyer. Very nice King Deluxe room with good view. Good breakfast - not as extensive range as some hotels. Great view of the square and Parliament House.

Very nice hotel with a great bar at the last floor. If you feel tired of the Ulaanbaatar traffic, you can just stay there and enjoy couple of drinks with some live music.

SingaporeI have nothing to complain actually, if I could nitpick, maybe is the breakfast which is slightly below my expectation of a 5-star hotel breakfast buffet. Nevertheless, it was a minor issue, the breakfast was delicious and my family enjoyed it.
Stayed here for our last few nights in Ulaanbaatar. This hotel is excellent, superb location (Gobi Cashmere was just a stone throw away), excellent service, facilities, the bed was extremely comfortable, the experience was so pleasant that you would like to extend a few more nights in Ulaanbaatar. What's better is that the front desk gave is a free Family Room upgrade when we checked in around in the evening.

MaltaThere used to be a hard smell of takeaway food in the first entrance of the hotel, just before entering the automatic sliding door. Actually the smell is outside but everytime the door opens, smell goes inside! Certain staff at reception has to be more efficient and alert. As soon as I approached to do check in, he acted as I have no reservation whatsoever and I was showing him my booking confirmation of booking.com. it is not nice after a long journey travelling, one encounter such a behaviour! We spent there 5 nights and we noticed that room was not cleaned properly every time. It depended on who did the room. There were time when bin was not cleaned and items utilised were not replaced!
Location is excellent. Very clean and all functional on room. Something I liked also is that due to the early time of checking out, they offered us a packed breakfast. That was nice.

IsraelThe location wasn’t the best, it was quite far away from shopping centres and was more in an industrial area.
Very kind staff, helped with everything that we needed even when arriving late from a Greek and needing laundry and also early in the morning before leaving to the airport made us packed breakfast. Very kind and thoughtful staff!

MalaysiaThe breakfast is not a standard of 5* at all. Its really disappointing. Its worst. Even butter also finish they said when i asked for it. It was just 8.30am lol Please upgrade for this matter.
Recommended in terms of front desk, cleanliness , hospitality , location, nice view room, i booked club square room. View is Sukhabaatar Square. Next to UB Galleria where i purchased Gobi Cashmere. And buy a simcard at level 2 coz my line doesnt cover Mongolia. The staff arrange for me the private tour to national park. Its quite cheap with vellfire and the driver is very nice can speak fluent English. The cafe downstairs serves good coffee with nice ambiance

NetherlandsOn booking.com there was written a long list of SPA & Wellness services which were in truth not available. That was a bit of a bummer as we chose the hotel because we were coming back from a long trek in outer Mongolia and we wanted to have a full recovery day before going back home. There was nothing available except for the full body massage but with only one masseur, so couldn't do in a couple. Not a tragedy, however we choose the hotel on purpose so a bit disappointed
Perfect location, wonderful room service until late hours, beautiful lounge at the very top of the building overlooking the city and with mountain view.
