Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was a smell in the bathroom, like glue or something had just been installed. There were no cups, plates or utensils in the kitchen dining area.
The room was huge, including a dining area and kitchen facilities. Restaurant downstairs is convenient. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Comfortable bed!

Czech RepublicWe stayed in a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The room had air conditioning, but it was quite noisy. Our windows faced the main road, so when we opened them, we could hear a lot of traffic noise. It’s a decent choice for a short stay of one or two nights. Getting to the city center takes just a few minutes by taxi, depending on traffic. The hotel has a restaurant that serves good food and, by Mongolian standards, surprisingly good coffee. Breakfast, however, was rather basic and could be improved.

United States-Breakfast was fine and had more options than expected, but not the best -Restaurant was never open for dinner and I couldn't understand the hours -Note: No A/C (!). The fan + window together were effective enough though. Ulaanbaatar doesn't get that hot and there were no bugs. -WiFi is hit or miss depending on the hours and what floor you are on -You are not close to any of the main tourist spots. You are closer-ish to the airport (it took about 40 minutes by taxi in early morning; note that traffic in UB is horrendous, generally speaking). That said, you can take a bus (not as hard as you think! Just bring 1000 tugrik and use Google Maps) or taxi to the center.
-Room was clean and comfortable with big beds; good size and amenities for 3 people (hot water container, glasses for coffee/water, 3 bottles of water which were replaced when room was cleaned, refrigerator/mini-bar, shampoo and bath wash included in bathroom along with towels). -Staff spoke some English and they had a "company taxi" for 125k tugriks (~$35 USD). -Close to a bus stop and next to convenience stores, Khan Bank ATM, and a supermarket a close walk by -Breakfast included -Very clean bathroom in the lobby in case you need to go in an emergency :) -A lot of karaoke places nearby if you're into that

Lithuania- breakfast - coffe - no A/C, you need to “upgrade” to have A/C
Location was good for my travel needs, otherwise outside city center. Easy to reach center by paying 1000 tugrik by cash in the bus. Recepsionists were friendly and talkative, answered questions and etc

RussiaI am happy with my stay. But for other travelers it’s good to: 1. Remember to check if the shuttle is indeed arranged for you one-two days before the trip; 2. Use google translate in case English is not enough. I found that even at the reception it was better to translate few things to Mongolian to ensure 100% understanding
I had everything I needed to spend long layover between my long flights: comfortable bed, nice shower, all the shower equipment. Also, the stuff is very friendly, kind and helpful 🤍

NetherlandsThe bedding was a bit dustier/spotted than expected, but it was cleaned and within the value of price paid for the stay.
Great value for money. The hotel room is big and well accommodated, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. Check in/out is easy and hassle free, even with the language barrier. Staff were friendly and also brought complementary food on arrival to the room.

United StatesThe hotel is about 4 km from the city center. Unfortunately, traffic is so bad in UB that means an hour to get anywhere. But insane traffic is a problem for all hotels in UB.

RomaniaHad a couple of minor issues. The Wifi was very weak in our room. We couldn't get the fridge to work. But all in all, a pleasant stay for this price.
It was a decent hotel. Most of the things were brand new. The staff was helpful, even though we had a language barrier. Breakfast was very nice and generous compared to what we are used to from Europe.

South KoreaThe layout of the table was awkwardly placed, so that in order to pick up coffee or a plate, you had to wait to get into a smallish corner area because of the way the table was bumped up next to it. It would also be nice to have a toaster out for guests to toast bread themselves. Cold bread is not to everyone's liking for toast. It was also new to me to have to ask for towels to be changed out/replaced. That was not communicated at check-in.
The breakfast was okay. I liked the fruit and coffee.

ThailandThe hotel is a bit out of the city center. If you’re planning to explore the main attractions, be prepared for a bit of a commute. Also, the area around the hotel isn’t the nicest part of the city. It's not terrible, but it’s something to be aware of if the location's a big factor for you.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say it was a good experience overall. In terms of value for money, this place really hits the mark. The price was super reasonable. Plus, they include a tasty breakfast every morning - definitely a nice perk and a great way to start the day. The room was clean and comfortable. Another bonus is that there's a mini mart nearby, so it's easy to grab any essentials or snacks. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay with a good breakfast included, this hotel is a solid choice.

United StatesThe pictures and reviews I saw before booking don't show that the hotel rooms and bathrooms are very outdated. I was comfirtable in my room, though, the entire stay. Thete was some construction going on inside near the lobby one day in the way of anyone getting off the elevator or coming down the stairs. There was no warning or signage for safety.
The breakfast was ok. Several pastry, fruit, hot items, and drink options. My room was quiet even with the traffic nearby. I could open the windows to get a nice breeze. Of course, at that time I could hear ecerything outdoirs, but only then. The staff was grwat! Very helpful and kind. I liked that there are pharmacies, mini markets, shopping centers, a church, hospital, and even a performing arts theater (Ganzam Palace) within a 15-minute walk radius.
