How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocated a short walk from the beach at Anse Cafard, this B&B was a delight from start to finish. From our warm welcome to the amazing view, the delicious and healthy breakfast, to the help provided by the host it was one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. The pool was so handy and refreshing after long days in the heat and humidity of exploring the south west coast of this island paradise; we went in every day of our stay. Stéphanie was very knowledgeable about the island, and she offered good advice on restaurants, beaches, sightseeing, and when to arrive at the airport for our return flight. The hibiscus themed room and ensuite bathroom were comfortable and very clean. We could not recommend this B&B more!

Verified reviewThe location was fantastic, up a short steep climb to give a view of the bay, particularly good view from the lovely pool. Fairy lights lit up the pool area at night and there were chairs for sitting outside. Our room was charming with enough space around the double bed and a good sized bathroom with a very big shower. We opted for a home-made dinner one evening which was absolutely delicious (guacamole appetiser, soup, chicken Columbo and chocolate and lime mousse ) and with good company from fellow guests. Breakfasts were also delicious and thoughtfully prepared and included fresh fruit, fresh mixed juice, pastries, bread and a choice of egg. On reflection we think that the food here was better than most of the food we had in restaurants in both Martinique and Guadeloupe. Tea and coffee was available throughout the day and a fridge supplied in the common area for guests to keep food in if needed (understandably no food allowed in the rooms). Stephanie was a delightful host and managed to combine her family (in a separate part of the house), her 2 cats and her guests with a wonderful balance. Stephanie also speaks very good English.
Very little needed improvement. The only points we could come up with were that the wifi didn't work inside our room (we were the furthest from the house) so we had to go outside to use it. Also the bed was not attached to the headboard and it was a bit wobbly. The outside lights wouldn't stay on - this was something that Stephanie knew about and was going to get fixed. None of this really detracted from our stay.

Verified reviewStephanie is a great host. The breakfast she prepared was varied and delicious and she was very flexible with me regarding check in /out times to accommodate my flight schedule. The beach is very close in walking distance and she also recommended a nice beach restaurant that I enjoyed very much. The outdoor pool and lounge area is also very comfortable to relax in.
I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Verified reviewThe location is amazing with a breathtaking view. The hostess is incredibly accommodating and made such good and healthy breakfast with products from the local market. Perfect also for morning runs. 100% recommend!!
I can’t think of anything, everything was great and better than expected. There were however some issues with the WiFi, but it didn’t bother us too much.

Verified reviewEverything was exceptional. Amazing views, really nice room and pool. Our host was lovely, very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, so was a dinner that the host prepared. Easy walk to beach and close to shops, restaurants, hiking trail up Morne Larcher. Loved the area. A beautiful part of Martinique. Highly recommended!

Verified reviewGood location for exploring the south of the island. Plenty of space in the room. Pleasant seating area outside.
Quite difficult to locate the property in the dark. Bedside lighting in the room not suitable for reading.

Verified reviewFrom the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave, everything was perfect. Our beatifully decorated room overlooked the pool (as they all do) and the incredible ocean view beyond. The bed was extremely comfortable and property is situated away from any noise, giving you a great night's sleep. Breakfast consisted of a high quality platter of hams and cheeses, various fruits which are locally sourced where possible (the pineapple sprinkled with corriander was delicious!), a selection of incredible pastries & breads, and numerous local jams (the tamarind and the guava were our favourites). Stephanie will also cook her eggs speciality of the day on request. Stephanie is a natural and friendly host with exceptional attention to detail and was happy to give us tips on restaurants and places to visit in the area, nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone staying in Martinique. Thank you for making our short stay with you so wonderful. We loved Martinique so much that I plan to bring my Mum as birthday treat in 2025 and we will definitely be returning to Villa Diamantilles.
Nothing !!
