Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsEverything is just great about this place. It is cozy and comfortable place where you feel like home since it is equipped with all necessary things. Location is in a beautiful area. Host made our stay really comfortable with provided guide book filled in with instructions about the house, recommendations about sightseeing, transport and shops bear by. It is really great place to stay.

UkraineThe stairs inside the building are quite steep, which could pose difficulties for people traveling with children and seniors. The shower space is really tiny.
It’s a very nice and quiet residential area with traditional Maltese townhouses. The rooftop view and ambiance were perfect for evening relaxation and conversations. The city center is easily reachable by traditional boat—just note that they’re not available in the evenings (at least in April). The house has everything you need to feel comfortable and enjoy a unique experience of living like a local. There are a few shops nearby, and we never had any trouble with parking—it was always available within a 3–5 minute walk.

Czech RepublicThe terrace is amazing, with a beautiful view overlooking the harbour. The fully equipped kitchen was great, and the owner even stopped by to bring us a new French press when the previous one was broken. It’s a small detail, but it really shows how much the owner cares. We also appreciated the guest manual, which included plenty of tips on where to eat and what to visit. There’s a big TV to watch your favorite shows after a long day exploring Malta (just remember to bring your own HDMI cable). The area where the house is located is very charming, with lovely houses and narrow streets. There are small shops nearby for grocery shopping, and a bus station close by, which we regularly used to get around. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is really small (tiny), but it was good enough for us. Overall, we highly recommend this place—can’t think of anything negative to say about it!

United KingdomThe amount of steps within the apartment could be an issue for older or infirm visitors
The apartment was great, the layout took a bit of getting used to. Having the kitchen and bathroom on same floor was a bit strange for me.

United KingdomHaving to take extra care with the staircases. The entrance and exit to/from the terrace.
The townhouse is set out over three floors with a narrow winding staircase to the roof terrace, which we used every day. It's in a residential area at the end of Senglea and we loved being amongst the locals. Nearby bus stop and a few local produce shops were handy. It's not possible to drive down the street so ask a taxi to drop you at the nearby Gardjola Gardens and it's seconds away from the property. The house was really well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is very small but we knew that and it's adequate. As it's off the kitchen, it's a flight of stairs down from the bedroom. Wide concrete staircases took a bit of getting used to so take care. It's not suitable for people with mobility issues. Excellent communication with the company who own it. Overall we were very happy there for a week.

United KingdomEnjoyed our stay, good location close bus stop, ferry as well or you can catch a boat to Valletta. The apartment clean and cozy with interesting decor. The view in the terrace amazing enjoyed our time there. There was tea coffee and spices, very useful. Comfy bed, conditioner, clean towels. Bit small shower, but not a big problem for us.

United KingdomThe bathroom is wet-room style, which we didn't mind too much, its just the toilet seat gets soaked when you take a shower. That said, water was good and hot! Going up and down the staircases (e.g. to the toilet in the middle of the night) might be tricky for some, but they are wide and have good bannisters. The narrow spiral staircase to the roof terrace could prove difficult for some travellers.
Getting the key from the lockbox and self checking-in was easy. The property is spread out over a couple of floors: kitchen/dining/bathroom on the first, then bedroom/living on the second. It has a beautiful traditional style with cool tiled floors. A cute private roof terrace offers a view of a working shipyard. Bed was really comfy. Sofa beds available. Plenty of storage. Towels provided. Can use the Alexa to play music as you cook. We watched YouTube on the TV in the evening. Easy-to-use air conditioning, plus a standing fan. British-style 3-pin plug sockets throughout. The surrounding neighbourhood was incredibly quiet when we visited in early May - we barely encountered anyone, but did enjoy seeing lots of street cats! Very peaceful location close to the gardjola gardens, which has amazing views of the capital. You can walk about 20 mins to Birgu (Vittoriosa) and catch the ferry to Valletta - cheap and easy, departs every 30 mins. The Senglea waterfront has some nice restaurants with good seafood.

RomaniaBathroom is on a lower level than the bedroom, which is a slight annoyance. The bathroom is also quite cramped. While the area is lovely and quiet, it's not great in terms of convenience. Distance to the Valetta ferry is not insignificant, and there isn't much in terms of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets around. Sliema would have probably been a better choice in these aspects.
Except for the dishes which were only okay, the house was very clean. We really enjoyed the decor, and the terrace is perfect for relaxing over a glass of wine. The house is quite spacious, there is plenty of room for two people. Bed was comfy and sheets were clean. The house is located in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. Wandering around the surrounding streets of Senglea was great.
