Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaClean it much better, renew some really old stuff and dust it off. The dust is there for 5+ years. The terrace is a gem. Water the plants more often and vacuum around them. Its a beautiful property, that it is sad the taken care for it is so little.
Stunning location, really nice apartment. Definitely not suitable for kids, or light sleepers. It has a beautiful terrace, almost that you can reach the Saint George cathedral. But the cathedral has a strong bell that rings on every 45 min and a whole hour as well. Till 2 am and from 5:45 am. The place is really nice and especially for the money you pay. I believe they can take more money for it if they clean it better and do better towards refreshing the place. It was not that clean, but the terrace view is stunning. Great for young couples, early risers, people who do not look for crystal cleanliness but for experience, book it 100%. Also note that the door is part of the restaurant Marche. The owner couldnt even tell us what and where the door is, so we are helping you and attaching a photo.

United KingdomBed is very hard as other guests have reported, we also thought the furniture on the terrace was quite uncomfortable. We also had to chase for check in instructions.
Great central location with a superb view of the square, surrounded by shops and restaurants and everything you need to have a brilliant time and explore Gozo. We really enjoyed staying here and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

New ZealandThe place was really let down by how poorly it had been cleaned. It needed dusting on all the surfaces. I appreciate it is a dusty place but it really could have been a lot cleaner. The church bells chime on the hour throughout the night. There are a lot of stairs and it is a narrow staircase so not for the mobility challenged. The bed is extremely firm. The shower drain needed clearing.
A place with a lot of character in the heart of Victoria in Gozo.

We liked the fantastic central location in the old square and the two terraces really helped make the trip.

United KingdomBathroom typical for property of its age (maybe needs updating). The church bells (on the hour) begin calling worshipers to prayer at 5am. If you like early mornings that’s great.
Quirky property, extremely well placed for food, drink and Gozitan patronage (if up early) before the tourists hit town. Fantastic view from balcony by kitchen. Access is via a tight spiral staircase, unsuitable for elderly or very young.

United KingdomThere was a problem accessing the property when the key code I had been given was wrong. However, the very lovely lady from Zzzing helped to get it all sorted out. The spiral stairs are a bit narrow, but as long as you go gently and take care when you ascend or descend them, it is not such a problem. In a building of the age that it is, it is important to appreciate that space is at a premium so the stairs fit the space that they can. I had 2 pieces of luggage and just took them up one at a time as it felt easier to do so than trying to cart everything up in one go!
The location is superb - on beautiful St George's Square. The bustle of the square - in the day and night was lovely. You should expect there to be some noise with this (and the bells of the Basilica), but it didn't bother me at all! It's a great base to explore Victoria from and you have everything nearby - including the bus station if you want to use public transport to explore Gozo. The roof terrace is gorgeous - so lovely to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine up there. Conveniently located - restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner on your doorstep, supermarkets and shops nearby. I had good sleep whilst I was there - the bed was comfortable and there was a lovely warm blanket if it was a bit chilly at night. It was a lovely place to stay.

EstoniaThe room and the kitchen are accessible with steep and narrow stairs which is hard to manage with luggage or small children. The interior is old and worn off and the room is quite cold in winter.
The location is very cool, straight in the middle of the old town of Victoria. The location and the balconies are what makes the place nice.

HungaryThe terrace door of the bedroom is an old, wooden door: can not keep out the noise. Can't even close it promptly. If the noise of the restaurants is not enough and you could sleep despite of it then there are the bells of the church, ringing throughout the whole night, and mostly one occasion is at least 6 rings but sometimes 12 or even 23. So when all the ringing is finished and you could fall back asleep it just starts to ringing all the bells again. 24 hours a day. And if you are unlucky as we were, you can have a 30 people group of drunk people having fun really loud under your window until 3:30 am. Maybe soundproof door/windows could help. If they change the balcony door to a soundproof one this place is perfect! For 7 nights we only got 1.5 (one and a half) rolls toilet paper...we asked for more but it never arrived (as there is no cleaning service so we had no chance to meet cleaners we only could send message to the customer service who said they will tell them). There is only a narrow spiral staircase to the second (bedroom) and third floor (kitchen) you can see on the photos in the gallery so if you have big suitcases it can be hard to take them upstairs. It is nice and really authentic but for everyday use can be tiring. The roof terrace could use a sunroof or some shade, umbrella or parasol or a fixed shade on the roof - all day it is too sunny, too hot to sit there so we only could use it at the evening. Wifi was not always working, sometimes slow and low connection/strength.
There is a bedroom with a balcony and a very small bathroom on the second floor and a well equipped kitchen with a big rooftop terrace on the third floor. This is like the best location in town. You have all the nice view to the church and the Citadell, and all the restaurants by your feet. Please note all this advantage is the disadvantage in the same time if you are not a good sleeper: the restaurants close late and cleaning, packing etc starts early morning. But if you wanna eat out on the main square you just walk home next door. Citadell is about 3 minutes walk. Central bus station about 5 min. Greens supermarket (worth shopping there if you cook) cca 6 min walk. You are right at the centre of Victoria. There is a big refrigerator and a washing maschine too in the well equipped kitchen (also kettle and toaster). The customer care is great, they answered all our questions quick. But I have to tell, sometimes it was only an answer not a real solution. Daytime curtains for the balcony and terrace is great, good to have. The bedroom has thick blackout curtain, it is great, because the strong lights to highlight the church are just at your window. Both the bedroom and the kitchen has airconditioner. The bedroom also has a fan. Hard mattress. Nice interior, wooden furniture, paintings on the walls, etc. There are charger converters to the socket provided.

FinlandThat we have to leave this beautiful place
We went to Gozo for an extra week after Malta and stayed here for a week. After 4 star hotels in Malta this was easily the best one. Location was perfect and everything worked perfectly. Kitchen in the upper terrace included everything what can imagine. Want to feel rich and local and have the most beautiful home in the heart of Saint Gorg's square. Two balconies, own entry, and fabolous cafeteria down stairs. You have to try their cakes and breakfast aswell. This is the place to stay if you want to enjoy real Gozo, we will 100% sure come back next year. Main bus terminal is so close and big supermarket aswell. Next to it is most beautiful church we've ever been. Everything was clean and AC worked perfectly with the fan. So romantic place for couples and families. We cooked own dinners few times and have most romantic time on rooftop terrace. There's good restaurants also. There's no other place in Gozo like this you have to experience it!

United KingdomThe 3 flights of spiral staircase were very difficult to navigate. We didn't use the property to its full potential because of accessibility from one area to another. We only had small luggage but found it difficult to carry it up and down the stairs, I have been holidaying in Gozo for 50 years & love the location, but I was very disappointed with the property description, not suitable for older or less mobile visitors.

AustraliaJust about everything. It was very difficult to find the apartment as there was no number and the sign on the door was different from the information I was given. Only with the help from people in the restaurants did I find it. The property was dusty and smelt like sewage. There were 32 steps on the spiral staircase to the apartment. The kitchen was on the floor above. The information about the stairs was not mentioned and would have influenced my decision as to weather I would book the property. I sent a message to zzzing saying I could only stay overnight because it smelt. All communication stopped after I gave them that information. The following day I received a phone call from a representative of zzzing saying the apartment needed some maintenance done and they would need access to the property. I explained I moved out the previous day. I sent an email to zzzing suggesting I should be given some refund and I’m still waiting for a reply

CroatiaIt didn’t resemble the pictures, it looked more dated. The bathroom is super small. The stairs are really narrow, so if you carry luggage, it will be a challenge. Keep in mind that the kitchen is separated from the room, it is on the last floor. The cleanliness was really poor it had a lot of dust everywhere. The whole apartment needs to be proper and thoroughly cleaned, starting from the bathroom and continuing through the entire apartment.
The location was amazing, right on the beautiful square with great restaurants to choose from, and in the vicinity of all the bus lines.

AustraliaBathroom was very dirty can’t blame the cleaners for it all as the owner really needs to fix it up for it to be cleaned properly. Also the water doesn’t drain in the shower so that does need to be looked at. Also the bin for the kitchen does need a lid and maybe not use a bucket get a real bin! Also we felt like the bed was the hardest we have ever slept in!
Excellent location This place is amazing where can you stay in a place that you can sit on your balcony and look down to the main square and watch everything that’s going on. You’ve got to stay here it is the best. A bit tough climbing up the spiral staircase but the views make up for it every time. Go and book here you won’t be disappointed.
