Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsOne of the lifts did not work the whole time I was there, so it took quite a long time to get either up or down. I arrived early and it was not possible to enter the room earlier then 1500 hours, so I had to wait and the left luggage room was not really secure as everybody could access without supervision. The price was quite hight I had to pay for five nights.
The room was very good and working air condition. Near to the water inlet to go swimming in the sea. Near Paceville but still quiet and close to bus stops and shops, bars and restaurants. Clean! The room contained a well wroking fridge where you could chill the drinks.

FinlandOur sheets weren't washed during morning cleanups which we sometimes wish they were If there were stains on them. The AC was very strong and it took us getting runny noses to realize we should turn it down which was mostly our own fault😂. Our room was also right in front of the elevator doors which sometimes caused us issues as two young women since men would see where our room was and start knocking on our door, we didn't let the staff know about this as to not be a bother but this is something to be mindful of.
The hotel was close to stores and restaurants and our room even had a view of the water which was super nice. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The hotel wasn't located on the main streets but there were still people walking around even at night so we didn't feel unsafe going in and out of the hotel at any time.

AustriaThe staff wasnt extremely friendly but they were ok. The cleaning staff somes occassionally, even though they should come every day and, atleast, change the towels.
The location was great, considering nightlife in St. Julians - far enough from the whole crowd but close enough to it. Who doesn’t like nosiy and busy surroundings shouldnt go to St. Julians , because every accomodation you choose is like that. The breakfast was great!

United KingdomVery loud music on rooftop pool, it’s nice when it was just a quieter background music.
Hotel is in a good location but can be very loud at night as it’s near bars/clubs. Hotel is typically filled with younger groups who are visiting for the nightlife. Breakfast is included which has a wide spread buffet. Rooftop pool/terrace nice to have!

IrelandI went with my husband we are both in our late 30s and this wasn't a suitable hotel for us It was extremely loud, more of a party hotel for younger people The roof top pool was full of young people with music pumping, drinking a lot and partying not the relaxing vibes we had imagined The staff, however, are so friendly, and the breakfast was decent Air-conditioning was non existant for the first night and then when i complained it was fixed and a lot better but we kept having to remind them to keep it turned up in our room as they control it from downstairs Would recommend for younger people

United KingdomThe music at the rooftop pool was far too loud . Also the hotel bar was closed but no explanation was given. Also within 10 minutes of arrival I went to the toilet but due to a faulty lock I was locked in the cubicle for 5 minutes until I managed to free the lock myself
Unfortunately I never got his name but the manager who mostly worked the evening shifts was extremely helpful

NetherlandsThe hotels is not very well kept. It's has the bare minimums, and things work at the bare minimum. It's also full with teenagers, so be aware if you're in for a relaxing trip, maybe go for a hotel outside of St. Julian's. None of this impacted my trip negatively in any way, it's more of a warning to those considering this hotel.
The pool for me was the main highlight of the property, it was very nice to be able to go up and enjoy it, have some drinks and relax after a day at the beach, or on a lazy day. Nice to have breakfast sorted too, with plenty of time to enjoy it.

Netherlands- The hotel is full of teenagers getting drunk, screaming, playing with balls and wrestling at the pool. - People speaking very loudly and slamming doors at corridors during the night. - The room needs some maintenance, walls are dirty, bathroom doesn't look good. - They give you a pool towel during check-in and you must keep the same towel for the entire stay. If you want to get clean ones you have to pay 2 euros per towel. I fail to understand how that makes sense. Why every other towel, as in every other hotel, are changed each day and this one can not.
Although I later found out that St Julians would not the best place for me to stay, the hotel is well located around bars and restaurants.

PolandThe breakfast is available yet it is very low quality- quite a choice but there is nothing special or tasty- more like a basic English breakfast offer with ok quality but not tasty. (E.g. I waited for freshly made waffles and yet they were soft and not ever crispy, scrambled eggs option is a cheap hotel mix, etc.) coffee is fine. Gym is there but except for new wall paper the equipment is old and barely working. Pool indoor is busy for classes so you need to check hours to get there. Towels are available but they've seen better times. Still for the price and location - you won't spend much time in hotel anyways.
Location close to party area and bus stops, nice beach in walking distance. Hotel and rooms are not the newest, some rooms are after renovation and some are not yet for this price this is more than fine. AC is working on the rooms, fridge in rooms and kettle are available. There is a room for storage in case you check in too early or leave later. There are also toilets and showers available in case needed. Stuff is nice. There is small grocery store just across from hotel.
