We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomStaircase lights dont work although there is a lift as well. On arrival the main bed hadn't been made up and only half a curtain was up at the window, the duvet was in the wardrobe, but no cover for it. The other curtain was also in the wardrobe. Glass cracked in 7th floor balcony gaurding! kitchen worktop in poor condition, stained and edge trim hanging off, cups dirty in cupboard, limited mix of plates and dishes, shower has black mould around tray line, cupboard fell off wall above TV due to aircon blowing down on it...poor response from management, in end sent a blanket rather than a duvet cover after 2 nights making o with single duvets on a double bed. Shame becuase it could be a great place.

SlovakiaThere were many things we didn’t like and I want to warn any potential clients to consider different accommodation in Malta, we would not recommend this place at all! 1) Address of the apartment in Booking.com was not the same as in instructions, which caused confusion and we had to walk to the place. 2) Keys were not in the locker as per instructions and it took almost one hour to get them. 3) Waste was not thrown away from previous clients, so the kitchen was stinking and we had to remove the garbage bag. 4) In one bathroom with the shower the water was leaking, the floor was wet as well as the wall, which was also moldy (in the bedroom). In addition, that bathroom was also stinking because of the leakage and other reason which was never inspected during our stay. 5) When we addressed this concern service came, but they have identified issue in the other bathroom, they removed the bathtub, stopped hot water and the bathroom became unusable. 6) As the hot water was not available for one day, we had to take shower in cold water, which was not pleasant specially for my wife and both kids. 7) The issue was not fixed on that day, but service team had to come also on the next day. As a result, bathroom was not repaired, and cold water was stopped in there and also in the kitchen. Dishwasher was not working and we could not clean the dish in such warm water. We could use only the bathroom with shower, where water was leaking and constant smell was present. 8) Even when we were offered to shorten our stay and look for other accommodation, due to kids and our schedule this was not preferred option. We agreed with the agent (Matthew) to stay once he has promised "fair compensation" for our inconvenience. 9) Even when we reminded the agent several times, we have not received any compensation after two weeks.

SlovakiaAir conditioner with bathroom didnt work properly so at night there was so cold and wet. They gave us heater after 3 days.. Promise compensation but now nobody reply to me.
