Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SlovakiaNoise from the street and hallway - It's fine during the day, but it can be distracting during sleep. When we arrived, the accommodation appeared to be damp, including the bed... The floor didn't seem the cleanest. During your stay you will see that the floor is wiped, but it is a good idea to bring slippers.
Since the accommodation is in the Valletta, there are cafes, shops, pharmacies, etc. nearby. They cleaned regularly and provided shower gels. The air conditioning worked. The hob didn't work but the owner responded quickly and tried to fix the problem, then provided us with a replacement. The cleaner was also helpful. Easy check-in and out.

BelgiumThe room wasn't cleaned yet when we arrived, even though we asked for earlier check in. The toiletries were too small and were not always refilled fully for 2 people. There were 2 beds put next to each other in the room in stead of 1 big bed.
Good location, comfortable beds, good heating and AC system and a quick and easy check in process.

United KingdomWe had a functional.room in a building in a more residential area of Valletta. We loved the keyless access - no danger of leaving the key behind. The room was spacious with large comfortable bed, simple drawers and hanging space, a TV and a shower and loo off the bedroom. The air-conditioning was easy to use. A clean, no frills base that we were very happy in for our two nights. Valletta is not very big and there is a good range of restaurants and bars just round the corner for breakfast and evening meals. The whole of Valletta is in walking distance but the room was low down with the town centre up hill. The town boasts plenty of steps and quirky streets.

LuxembourgIt's super noisy. We were in the first floor near the road. We would wake up every day around 7 from the noises. You can literlly hear your neigbors speaking if they are being a bit louder. You need to slam the front door to close it so that would be as noisy as the sounds in the street. When we went out before the time of check out we couldn't enter anymore. Luckily we had all our things with us but if you go out on your last day before 11, the limt of check out you won't enter anymore. We had still 40 min and I couldn't use the bathroom anymore.
Staff super friendly! Communication was really on point as they answered fast and resolved your problem instantly. Location is perfect. Near the city center and the ferries. Every day new clean towels and every two days new sheets.
