Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe spiral staircase from the first floor to the second floor & roof terrace is quite cramped. It will be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues to use. Tall people will need to watch their head coming back down. The WiFi is not very strong and is unreliable.
Superb old house, located on the northern edge of Rabat. Laid out over three floors, you are just a five minute walk from either the Mdina Gate or the main square in Rabat. The kitchen-diner is in the basement and is a very comfortable space. The main bedroom is a very good size, with a nicely equipped bath room. The smaller bedroom upstairs contains two single beds and a shower room. All rooms have air conditioning or fans. Between the first and second floors is access to the multi-level roof terrace. I had problems accessing the WiFi and the owner came by and resolved this for me. Whilst not having WiFi was not a big issue at all, (personally having this is a bonus and not a necessity) I really appreciated their attention to this and the great customer service.

United KingdomThe kitchen seemed to be lacking certain items such as a chopping board and baking tray.
It was situated in a perfect place to go into Rabat or catch the bus. The layout of the house was very unique (in a good way), the kitchen in the basement led to it naturally being the coolest place in the house, while cooking this was definitely appreciated. The air conditioning worked very well.

United KingdomWe arrived on the bus so didn’t have a car to park and we weren’t worried about the stairs, but if you’re driving, check out parking arrangements in Rabat as the house can’t really be accessed by a vehicle.
It is a beautiful old house over four levels in a great location. We found it to be very clean and the double bed in the main bedroom was warm and comfortable. We enjoyed the little sun terrace (when the weather allowed!) and the shower was hot and powerful. No issues with WiFi - it worked well wherever we were in the house. Thank you for a lovely stay!

United KingdomGiven the positives of the location, the street outside could be a bit noisy at night. The numbers of steps in the property could be problematic for some. We sometimes had to grab a street parking spot for the hire care and then move it to the nearby free car park later in the evening (pot luck). We are realistic people when it comes to the pro's and Con's and we really enjoyed our stay here.
The terraced house was located in the narrow streets of Rabat. The location is excellent for restaurants, sights and for walking to the walled town of Mdina. The house layout is quirky in that the kitchen is in the basement, the main bedroom on the first floor. The second bedroom is on the second floor along with the outdoor seating area. top to bottom is quite a number of steps. The kitchen was well equipped. We stayed for four nights, we had a hire car. Parking was a bit of a challenge close to the house. We had to carry our luggage from the road at the top of the street to the house, not a problem for us but something to consider if mobility is an issue.

United KingdomThe spiral staircase to the roof terrace and the upper room was awkward especially if you are tall or trying to carry anything up.
Great location for visiting Mdina sites and catacombs in Rabat. Parking very close by.

CanadaI preferred the mattress on the twin beds on the top floor, to the one in the main bedroom.
The location was fantastic, so close to parking and the gate to Mdina. Loved the original stone flagstones and many of the apartment's original features. The roof top patio was a nice place to relax. The host was fantastic to get everything we needed and even took the time to tell us a bit about the history of the apartment.

IrelandThe main double bed was for us quite uncomfortable - so we chose to sleep the second night in the single beds. Was more comfortable.
The location is fantastic. Really perfect. The house is very charming - lovely little sunny terrace on the rooftop.

United StatesWe could not get our luggage up the spiral staircase, so we had to run up and down daily to get our clothing and toiletries.
We liked the fact that it was in a great location.

United KingdomThe other bedroom! Was not on the same level at all with the main one. I felt I lost out big time ! It would be ok if it was in a standard modern flat somewhere but this was a historic house so should have been as good as the other one or the property description should have a note to say it was modern and not the same as the main bedroom. Photos do not really show this aspect ! Also, living room was just a 2 person sofa next to the kitchen. So we couldn't use it as we were 3 people. If disabled or infirm in any way, the 46 stairs might be an issue.
Location, air conditioning, WiFi was available in all areas, main bedroom with the double bed was beautiful. Kitchen area with dining table had everything you need. Patio was very nice and we used that as our living room. Customer service was also good, Tano resolved WiFi and kettle issues quickly.

Ukraineinternet. actually there was no internet in the bedrooms, we had to catch it on the stairs or bear the exit. the owner tried to help, but all his attempts helped only for a while. equipment should be changed. I had to spent a fortune in mobile internet in roaming because of that.
it has good location, and it is exotic with local touch. it is really a bit too wet and cold, so be prepared. the bedrooms are ok, as well as bathrooms.
