This is our 2nd time staying in ‘Pippa’ and it was fantastic again. The cat was still there and loves to bed fed and petted. Location is quiet. Local supermarket 3mins walk away. Terrace off master bedroom has stunning views. Perfect for sundowners. Philippa was very helpful when booking.

It wasn’t as clean as last time and bathrooms were mouldy. Could do with a spruce up! Pool area wasn’t cleaned at all in the week we were there. Lots of bees and wasps around the pool. It is self catering, so you buy ingredients from the local supermarket. Last time the people before us left salt, pepper, olive oil etc. We added to that and so on. This way you didn’t have to buy absolutely everything. This time, there was NOTHING! The cleaners obviously take what’s left for themselves. Not very homely!

It was really comfortable, nice swimming pool and location if you rent some car/scooter. Next to property is really good supermarket. The apartment is big for 2 people, nice kitchen. There are only 5 apartments so it’s not crowded.

There is a lot of plaster in the apartment, which makes it quite dirty. lots of slopes - easy to get bumps

We loved the age and location of the buildings, we loved the pool, comfortable bed, great air con and didn’t mind putting a few coins in to have it.

The garbage situation,,no bags provided for longer stays,,the area around the pool not swept for the week we were there.

    Location

    - The instruction email stated that I will receive the code for the key for the "self check-in" prior to the check-in time. 20ish Minutes after the check-in time, we still not received the code for the key. We called twice the property, however the call was never priced up. We had to come up with another idea, and we called the property on WhatsApp and they eventually picked up. - The pool was shared between 4/5 villas and in the listing it shows as "Private pool". At some points during the day, we could not use the pool as all deck chairs were occupied by other guests. - The room smelled of cigarettes as soon as we entered. - The property was far from clean. Room, living space and even common parts showed signs of lack of cleanliness. Cobwebs, flies, fluff and dust. Glasses, plates, forks, knives, pans were all stored, but not clean - Smelly and Icky. - The TV was broken from the stand, and leans forward. This could easily be fixed or replaced. - The lock on the door of the room was very very difficult for us to lock it.

Very quiet and peaceful area with country and sea views. Clean pool area and good sized pool. Despite of shared pool, and the houses next to each other, still enjoyed Privacy in our terraces. Also loved the resident cat !

The mattress was not fully comfortable. Being we stayed in an old farmhouse with the walls in original state (not painted), dust falls off the walls quite often and there are living or sleeping spaces where it gets uncomfortable to be because of this.

Accommodation very good. A quirky and different type of pllace to stay. Very quiet with lovely balcony for relaxing in the evenings (if you can avoid the mozzies)! Supermarket nearby for all food and drink requirements. Lovely pool area with shade. Just a lovely place to relax. Well equipped kitchen. Owners put us in touch with local car hire company who were very friendly and this proved invaluable. Gozo itself seems about 20 years behind England! The people were very friendly and helpful everywhere we went. The Gozo fast ferry was really good.

Quite remote with no bars or restaurants nearby. Luckily Uber service was very good. Probably not good for families with young children. A lot of wasps round the pool and when the pool was cleaned the handyman gave us a note saying the chemicals used plus suntan lotion may result in us getting cancer! It was extremely hot while we were there and the rubbish was on hooks just outside the kitchen window so we ended up with an infestation of flies in the kitchen on a couple of occasions. The air con required 1 euro coins to operate which we thought would have been better with tokens or a card system. Gozo roads were quite poor in places with near vertical hairpin bends! The bedrooms were outside then up several stairs which was difficult for two ladies of a certain age getting luggage up to the bedrooms! Several of the doorways were low and could have had Mind you Head signs on!

I love this converted farmhouse, such a tranquil spot. Beautiful pool area with a rural view, lovely accommodation with a comfy four post bed. A convenient mini mart 5mins walk from the house. A friendly cat, lizards, a gecko, birds, butterflies...it was absolutely lovely.

My only criticism is that we were not provided with bags to put recyclable waste in.

It was nice, quiet and relaxing. The property consists of 5 apartments that share a pool. We stayed in the Terezin app, which is located at the other end of the pool and is separate from the main property, so if you want a sense of privacy, choose that app. Keep in mind that near that app is a room where the pool pump is located, so you will hear the pump from the bedroom during the day (not at night when the pump is not working). The pool was clean and warm enough (not heated) because it is positioned so that it is in the sun almost all day. Also, the pool is perfectly positioned so that apart from the guests of the property, no "passers-by" have a view of the pool because on two sides of the pool are located apartments of the property, on the third side is a tall house under construction, which protects from the view from the street and on the fourth side is a large field, on which there are no buildings. There were leaves around the pool, but keep in mind that you are in the countryside and that birds land on trees/olive tree and peck at the fruits. Upon arrival we were a little confused by the entrance to the facility (you have to go through a "tunnel" to get to the pool and then to the apartment; the same entrance is for the Terezin and Cika app) and there were a lot of flies in the "tunnel", which surprised/even put us off at first, but we later realized that you just need to leave the "tunnel" door open sometimes and there won't be any flies. And the best part of all was the orange cat, who kept us company from the moment we arrived. Even if you're not a cat/animal lover, she won't bother you. She's unobtrusive and doesn't enter your space unless you invite her. She's very cuddly. As someone wrote in earlier review, please feed her.

It would be desirable to have basic supplies such as salt, sugar, pepper and oil in the kitchen. It's to bad that you have to pay for the use of air conditioning, but we where aware of that because it was stated in the description.

Lovely and peaceful, beautiful building, good showers, great kitchen, patios with views, aircon, lovely pool and sides, views, proximaty to a well stocked shop. Be aware that access to the bedrooms is from outside and up stone stairs. Loved the cat... please feed her, she is very very sweet.

Loved the calm location and peacefulness and the pool area which felt well maintained and clean. Good to have a kitchen and fridge so we could cook! Very responsive and great communication.

It would have been nice to have been provided with toilet paper.

The location was amazing, and the view from the garden was absolutely wonderful. It felt like the edge of the world, and we truly loved our time there.

Providing salt, pepper, waste bags, and extra toilet paper would be helpful. The kitchen could be better equipped. Cikka was a decent size but not ideal for taller people. It was also a bit cold, and without coins, we couldn’t use the AC.

Good location. Property description only partially meets reality.

We moved out after first night because the place was extremely damp. you could feel the humidity in the air , the bed was damp and all our stuff felt damp from being there even 1 day. There is a very steep ramp to the door to the property which would make this inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. This isnt mentioned in the property description. The place was dirty- dead flies all over the kitchen area, cobwebs behind tables. Facilities were unacceptable- no microwave or dishwasher( both essential in self catering). Dont know why owners think its acceptable to have such old furniture, old bed and knackered bedlinen- pillows that were so thin u get a bad neck!- they are happy to take the 550 for the week but spend absolutely zero on the guest experience! even the most basic places give you a welcome pack ,,, a few bits n pieces to start off your stay...not here!

    Location, ginger cat, hot water

Mould in rooms, no security locks in some external rooms, no heating, damp bedding, dead flies over light fittings, dust over fittings, cobwebs 30cm hanging from ceiling, no pre advice about heating by coin meter, heater that wouldn't work, staff claim there wasn't any mould but failed to inspect after being invited.
