Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MaltaThe house needs quite some maintenance from top to bottom, especially the bathrooms, the ac in the living room, the knobs of the hob etc. Some bulbs were not working, flushing, showers etc need maintenance

MaltaA day before arriving they told us to pay for ac €10 per day because she said it was with the card. Here on booking.com it is not even mentioned.While we were there we noticed that although we switched all AC and electricity the amount of money went down. During the night we were charged over €12 for use of ac and the fact is that one of the rooms didn't even leave it switched on. On the day of arrival, we went in at check in 3pm (they were informed from days before that we were going to be there from the morning) and still the cleaner was there, and there were broken things ( these were solved when maintenance guys came -that was good) Don't know how but had ants in the fridge and also small insects in kitchen. Upstairs we had to bring plates and glasses from downstairs for bbq Saturday we ran out of water ( but again maintenance guys did good job)
The pool was beautiful and big there were deckchairs and umbrella and was located in good area. Maintenance guys came immediately

LatviaThe hair dryer didn’t work in one room, and there was not hot water in shower in other room. Some ants and mosquitos visited us during our stay. Despite that, we would return there.
Specious house with a private swimming pool on the roof. There were bathrooms in each room. Also, good communication with the host. We needed repair work at the swimming pool and that was done superfast.
