Our room was so old, the beds were old and ugly, the, the wall was falling apart, under the bed it was dirty. There is an A/C working all night and all we got was a duvet cover as a blanket and it was so cold that we got sick. (But at least it had A/C, it's better than a hot night.

The location was perfect, the staffs were kind, and the guests were so friendly too, it was like a family.

I asked the receptionist if they could store my luggage till my checking in, but the way they seem to understand "storage at the reception", was to leave the baggage right there in front of the desk, where virtually anyone could snatch it entering from the street. Hence, I decided to place it myself under the seat beneath the window to make it less visible. I failed to check it beforehand, but the room should definitely have a small refrigerator, if not a TV screen as well. The beach is indeed like 5 min away, but you have to walk down a steep hill.

The room was rather spacious, quiet and clean, towels were fresh. The air conditioning was working, which was essential in the heat of July. Close to the Balluta Bay and within walking distance to both Sliema and centre of St. Julian's (15- 20 min).

Despite some of the guests being "Cartoon Network characters", my stay was overall pleasant. EVERYONE from the staff was impeccable and welcoming to all of us guests alike.

Top bunk beds have partial privacy as there is no blocking between you and the bunk bead in front (shared curtain). There is some people that are there for the long stay and they act like they own the place disregarding the other guests. A crazy lady arrived completely drunk 2 am throwing up in a bucket next to her bed. Would recommend just for heavy sleepers. Have to take into consideration is 9 minutes walking from the bus station but is completely uphill a little misleading when you have the big luggage and arrive in the late night/ early morning.

The staff is amazing incredibly nice and helpful. They have everything you would need including everything equipped in the kitchen. Really beautiful and safe area where is located.

Lack of cleaning : the bathrooms were clean but the water of the jacuzzi was green. I was disappointed by the rooftop because it was filthy: the sunbeds were dusty, there were stains on the couches, some chairs were broken and the drying rack was half broken.

Great hostel right in the centre of St. Julian's, very close to Balluta Bay. All the busstops are nearby, there is a Eurospar supermarket, the staff are fantastic and the place has a great hostel vibe! Moreover they have bed curtains so privacy is not an issue. Highly recommendable!

It would need just a more larger fridge in the kitchen to accommodate the full Up , and a small night light for single bed .

Welcoming place, well attended and well functioning, 2 cleaning shifts per day, reception staff always present, helpful and courteous, equipped with a terrace, good price-quality ratio, well accompanied by regulations so as not to disturb other roommate customers.

I can’t think of anything I would recommend, everything was great!

An excellent hostel near many of the main places in St Julian’s. Quite east to reach by bus from the airport. The staff were very helpful, trusting, and friendly which made me feel like I was important to them. The rooms and facilities are great, and I had no problems while staying there.

The dormitories are a bit tiny and the shower cabins are a little "spartan", but for a such good price is not a claiming matter. Overall some improvements is possible to make.. I would also have appreciated to stay in the terrace after 23h. So my real vote is 8,5*

Nice hostel in San Julian (a little upon the hill), friendly staff, furnished kitchen. There is a beautiful terrace as in photos with even a jacuzzi!

I had a fantastic experience at Hostel Malti. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great sense of conviviality and community. 1. Can get a bit noisy at night in the living area. But it's what a hostel should be I guess.

1. Excellent location in quiet neighbourhood of Sliema. Bus stops, groceries etc are just 5-10mins walk away 2. Rooms & bathrooms were neat and clean. Decent comfy beds with "safe" drawers. 3. Wifi was great throughout 4. Fully equipped kitchen to make your own food. 5. Wonderful staff, very friendly helpful and make you feel comfy.

Just little remarks, like no hot water in the kitchen and wall sinks in the bathrooms. Also I would have appreciated to stay in the roof terrace longer in the evening.

Great accommodation considering the low price! There is all the necessary you may need, replenished kitchen, very nice terrace on the roof with even a jacuzzi as in the photo (though water it's not very warm). Staff is friendly. Dormitories are quite narrow but with curtains and big wooden lockers under the beds.

The room I stayed in is a bit small and dark. The showers are small and there's no place/table to put the toiletries and the clean clothes, so everything gets wet.

The common area and the kitchen look very comfortable and are quite spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful adding a personal touch to the experience. There's a lovely roof terrace to relax and hang out. I met lovely people while staying there.
