We stayed three days at this wonderful boutique hotel in the Qala area. Throughout our stay, we were pampered in every way, from the abundant and excellent breakfasts to the kindness of the owners. Andre, in particular, proved to be an excellent host, attentive to all his guests' needs and always ready to resolve any issues that might arise. The hotel's two pools are breathtaking, especially at sunset with a spectacular view of the sea and the Maltese countryside. We will recommend this place to all our friends and will make sure to return!

A set of drawers or shelves in our room would have been helpful - but everything else was perfect!

Andre and his team were amazing, nothing was too much for them! Breakfast each day was delicious, we chose each day what we wanted the next. It was fresh and plentiful. It was a very peaceful hotel, and we were often the only ones at one of the two pools, but there were plenty of Sunbeds for if it got busy! The views from our rooms and the pool areas were stunning, it was hard to leave!

If there would be one thing to improve would be to have more space to hang towels and leave toiletries in the bathroom. But honestly that's a detail.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating, we loved the pool, the surrounding, the calm, ... The room and cleanliness were on point too.

We had such a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The views are impeccable & the hotel itself is full of character—stylish, intimate, and beautifully designed with thoughtful details throughout. We were very surprised with the quality and the standard of the hotell. Very helpfull staff and the rooms are modern and clean. Wish we had booked more days there. You won’t regret your visit there, it’s one of the best in Gozo.

We were so delighted to find L-Eremita. A stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, family run hotel. The most delicious, ample breakfasts and a peaceful pool area with stunning views. Can't recommend it enough. Easy 15 min walk to restaurants and bars in Qala and walkable to some super snorkelling spots. There are walking maps in the hotel reception. Easy to get around using Bolt/Uber.

The remoteness could be a hindrance for some people, but we really enjoyed it!

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they really take care of you. The hotel itself is beautiful and very tasteful, and the remoteness comes with peace and quiet, while the view is absolutely stunning. The breakfast with homemade pastry was also an amazing way to start the day. We could not have chosen a better place to unwind and explore Gozo from, this place is a definite recommendation!

The staff are really lovely here. Andres was really kind and helpful for our stay. The location is amazing, the views are beautiful, the breakfast is delicious. The facilities are brilliant. Both the pools are really nice. We had a very private wrap around terrace which was perfect for us.

The pool area was a relaxing spot to unwind, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hosts really went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience, and it made our trip extra special. This place is a true gem. It’s a family-run boutique hotel that lets you fully immerse yourself in the idyllic charm of Qala, Gozo. The location is peaceful and serene, yet easily accessible by car, with convenient on-site parking. Andre and Lina are wonderful hosts who make you feel completely at home. We were able to choose our preferred breakfast the day before, and everything we selected was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Each morning included a delightful surprise, adding an extra touch of joy to our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It’s not just a beautiful, luxurious setting (as the photos suggest) it’s a truly memorable experience.

A truly excellent stay at L’Eremita! Andre was a superb host, very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Nothing was too much for him! We arrived early before check in (without warning) and just wanted to drop our bag before going for a walk. Andre welcomed us, knew us already by name and let us check in to our room early. Then gave us a welcome drink too! The breakfast was amazing! The fresh pastries were delicious and much of the produce is also grown on site. It is cooked fresh for each guest and Andre is happy to tailor the food to the needs of his guests. We would highly recommend the fresh fruit platter as all the fruit was great and lots was home grown! Our room was great too. The facilities are excellent and well looked after. Everything felt brand new. The bed was very comfortable and house keeping was offered each day. The room was also air conditioned, the air conditioning was very good and kept the room nice and cool. The location is also stunning. Close to Qala town if you would like to eat out. It is also close to many beaches and is very accessible. There are some natural ocean pools within walking distance and a beautiful cove that can be swam in, plenty of fish there too. These won’t show up on Google Maps so ask Andre and he will recommend to you. He has a great knowledge of the island too so if you have any questions he is a great guide! The hotel itself though has beautiful views and the poolside is an ideal place to relax. Overall we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t change a thing. Andre is a top host and his property is also a credit to him. We wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to anybody! Visit Gozo and stay here!

Our weekend break spent here was just simply perfect! The location is quiet and isolated with parking available, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff were wonderful and attentive (they even let us have a very late checkout), the breakfeast was delicious and the entire hotel is modern and well maintained. Overall if you want a weekend escape, this hotel is the one!

This secluded paradise in Gozo made our vacation wonderfully stress-free. The location is truly exceptional — quiet, peaceful, and surrounded only by the sea and unspoiled Maltese countryside, with no construction or other houses in sight. The two pools were a perfect bonus for relaxing at any time of day. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The entire property is filled with beautiful artwork, creating a warm and inspiring atmosphere throughout. What truly sets this place apart are the hosts, Andre and Lina. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and went far beyond expectations to ensure everything was perfect. When a minor noise issue came up, they responded immediately and resolved it quickly and thoroughly, showing just how much they care about their guests’ experience. Breakfast each morning was a treat — fresh fruit, local cheese, and a different homemade pastry by Andre each day, all tailored to your preferences, along with a great selection of coffee, cappuccino, and other drinks. There's also a small town within walking distance that has several excellent restaurants — perfect for evening strolls and sampling local cuisine. Gozo itself is a fantastic place to stay — while many visitors only come for a day trip, it’s absolutely worth staying longer to truly experience the island’s beauty and tranquility. I can’t wait to return.
