How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewHuge communication issues. Constant spam on WhatsApp, email, and SMS, all repeating the same information. Completely unable to resolve even the smallest problems. The remote call center is totally disconnected from the actual facility and from any real human interaction. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.

Verified reviewthe hotel is well placed, right next to the mosta rotunda. There's a convenience shop at 30 seconds of the place, restaurants, fast food. It's very well located. The hotel staff is very nice. The breakfast is very good, also drinkable water is disposed at every levels.
There is no laundry service, they don't give shaving kits etc... Should be the "basic stuff" in a hotel room.

If I’m being picky, the breakfast could have better healthy options. When everyone’s hotel doors shut it’s very loud and that can be a bit of a nuisance.

Verified reviewThe size of the room was great Pool was small but there was only a couple of people in it at any one time so it didn’t bother us If we needed any help the team on what’s app were great Great location.
Breakfast was average- the staff member was lovely but after staying in a few hotels over our stay it was our least favourite Issue with noise from an outside street party which had a dj and music on until the early hours of the morning which when you have a 5 year old is not fun. Whilst this was outside of the hotels control some consideration knowing we had a young child and a street balcony I would have thoughtwe would have been warned/moved. Parking was a little bit of a nightmare but I think in the main this was because of all of the weekend events

Pleasant and complete breakfast with fruit, cold cuts, cereals, and pastries. Excellent location on the island (we had a car).

Verified reviewThe only thing I liked about this accommodation was its location…being in the middle of the island is an advantage for tourists.
I did not enjoy the breakfast. During my 8-day stay, the menu was exactly the same every single day and far from extraordinary. I would have preferred not to pay for it, as with the same money I could have eaten much better anywhere else. Regarding cleanliness, in 8 days they did not change the bed linen even once. There is ongoing construction on level -1, and the noise during the day echoes throughout the entire hotel. Although there is a reception desk on the ground floor, during my entire stay I never saw anyone there to speak to or ask a question. What bothered me the most was that, even though they claim to have 24/7 emergency assistance, I called 20 times and no one answered. This meant I couldn’t check in because they gave me the wrong code for the main entrance. As a result, I spent 2 hours in front of the hotel, alone at night, until other guests arrived and opened the door. Only then I was able to get inside. I expected at least a call the next day to explain what had happened, but all they said was that they would talk to the staff to see what went wrong, and that was the end of the conversation.

Verified reviewRooms were great, spacious and clean. However not 1 memeber of reception staff in sight at all during my stay. Codes for main door didn’t work at one point, was told to but staff if what’s app to call a local number but unable to of you are a traveler. Asked to extend my stay and didn’t get a reply until hours after. Left my luggage and code didn’t work, had to wait about 20 minutes for door to be opened.
No front office staff.
