Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower was not powerful so it was a struggle to wash my hair. It was also on the more expensive side.
The room was very spacious and was in a good location - if you want to be busy and go clubbing etc. It was not too loud but you could hear neighbors when they go back in from clubbing. It was not too late however.

MaltaFor a 4 star hotel i have expected nicer pool area. With small table near deckchairs, and cups not so cheap. Cheap plastic cap for wine is a big disappointment.Today even at normal beach club they give you proper wine plastic glass.
Adult only no kids.

AustraliaAttention to detail was poor: no toothbrush holder, shower poorly constructed (water doesn’t drain properly and no shower door so can’t have shower on good power or you flood the bathroom), no space to hang clothes in bedrooms. The lady at reception could do with more training - when there was an issue with the room at check in she explained nothing, didn’t give us all the info needed for breakfast etc, not very friendly, wanted a deposit in cash for pool towels but didn’t take down any details so at the end of the stay wouldn’t give us our deposit back without us persisting and returning the towel. When we asked for a bottle opener for the complementary wine she told us to just go to the restaurant. Poor customer service. We knew San Julian was a clubbing area but did not expect 18 yr old chaos. Would recommend Valetta if you don’t want the clubbing scene
New hotel, nicely finished. Bar and restaurant staff were great. We initially had an issue with the room at check in - they had maintenance problems so assigned us a different room. We were not happy with the chance and the manager gave us another much better room and some complementary wine - he was friendly and had excellent customer service Location was great for buses Lovely spa Very clean rooms

United Arab EmiratesJust the fact that you need to deposit 50€ against each night of your stay is nonsense, two days stay had to deposit 100€ Requesting 20€ deposit against borrowing a towel made me feel uncomfortable

United StatesMy ONLY complaint was the timeliness and reliability of the elevators.
It's clean and comfortable. The room, shower, and balcony were all spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Walking distance to everything in Paceviille. It's away from the main strip so it's slightly more cosy/intimate but only a block away.

RomaniaWe really hated the fact that our rooms didn’t have any windows facing the exterior and the windows we had opened 10cm measured with a ruler. Because of this our clothes and towels were always wet, the room was never smelling fresh, the air being closed and the atmosphere feeling like we were closed in a cave. Everytime we had a problem and asked the MANAGER to help us he would never do it, refusing instantly to find a solution, involving their hotel POLICY, smiling at us with a fake smile and almost mocking us. He was a really mean person, that didn’t deserve the title of being a manager. My family owns a 10 times larger resort that is 5 stars but no one treats our customers like that. It is impossible to treat someone as this person has treated us, but I guess nothing is impossible and this person has showed us that. This guy was so entitled as if it was his hotel, but I guess he treated us like this because we were young or because we were Romanian, racism at its finest. The breakfast is included because everything is low quality. We only woke up the first two days to eat it and we discovered that almost nothing was edible, so we chose the better version, the Spar Express close to the hotel that had x10 better quality food and tasty. The saunas weren’t working, the temperatues inside being 30-35 degrees celsius, so they didn’t have any effect on anyone, they were useless. In the hotel lobby you weren’t allowed to eat or drink anything not bought from the hotel, the lady there almost shouting at us telling us this, so everyone could hear that the food was not bought from the hotel, almost saying that we were poor.
We really liked the reception guy, Ilia, he was really nice to us and always happy to help us. The rooftop pool was also really nice, the views being spectacular. The pool and the cleaning staff were really nice and friendly.

United KingdomThe swimming pools, steam bath and hot sauna is only until 8pm. Could it not be until 10pm?? The shower doesn’t have a door so water when showering can go out to the toilet floors The seating during breakfast is not controlled. There are only 2 people but seating on a 4-seater table whilst there are only 2 of the 4-seater table outside.
Staff were accommodating and friendly. They quickly address your concern. The indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The steam bath and hot sauna. The SPA. The bars which have all the cocktails. The room is clean and tidy. The location of the property where it is close to the bus stop and accessible to places like shops.

LuxembourgThe bathroom would flood no matter what. I would shower with the lowest pressure possible to not flood the bathroom, but it still would flood. I personally didn't mind but it is annoying. Bed was hard for my taste. First night was nice, but after that there was a room or two beneath me that would arrive around 3-4am and be SOO LOUD. They always woke me up due the the window not closing entirely and poor isolation (I had no actual windows, the one I had was facing the inside of the building and you could hear every sound from the bedrooms and the pool area included). The last night was horrible as they put music on in the pool area and I could hear everything. It way past midnight and the music was still going. I eventually managed to fall asleep so idk until what time the music actually went on.
Breakfast was ok. Quite a few choices just not really my thing. Bedroom was nice and clean. The lady that assisted me was very nice. Overall a good stay. I did like the bedroom even though there were no real windows. Hotel is also well located. Bus stations are around and you can easily get food around the area.

IrelandThe lift has limited access to floors, if you running late, the lift will add about more 10mins to your lateness. Lovely spacious rooms but no wardrobes or place to stowaway your luggage in the rooms, so if you planning a long stay, your untidy cloths will remind you is time to go home

GermanyLift works very bad, sometimes had to wait 5 to 10 min and then travel up and down. No wardrobe in the room, just few hangers, which makes a 1-week stay with few luggages uncomfortable. No toiletries, just shower gel. No slippers. The hotel info on the arrival says that the rooftop pool and bar is open, but it’s not. Water in room only upon arrival. No storage of luggage upon departure (what should I do if I check out at 11, but leaving at 11pm?)
Modern, clean, very well located, very friendly and helpful (as much as they can) stuff, amazing breakfast and the view from the restaurant.

MaltaThe breakfast needs a bit of improvement . And the personal jacuzzi outside on the balcony of the executive room with no optional privacy and it wasn't that useful during winter. Could maybe have like a tent to cover from the cold days/nights to be able to use it.
The spa tub inside the room is a great addition to it. Great delivery service. Reasonable prices and good food and facilities. Close to restaurants, bars and shops but with enough distance for relaxation as well
