Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

bathrooms are really small, you can barely sit down on the toilet and the beds don‘t have curtains

The staff were so helpful and welcoming for our needs. We were travelling as a group of three girls and they ensured we felt comfortable which was sweet. The location was really convenient to get to where we needed to go and we would definitely stay again!

Washing services only once a week, and a bit expensive. It would be better to find a laundromat nearby. There are some around.
Easy check-in, and check-out. Good common areas, nice facilities. Staff kept the place very clean, and everyone was friendly. Nice terrace

Some of the boarders were very nice even the people who could not speak english! others were just loafing around hogging the tv playing war games!
The two girls who ran the hostel were very different neither could speak english but the one who could was very irrational and rude harrassing me to go and showing me her watch so much so i left my laptop adapter plugged into the wall so had to buy another one There was WIFI which was good as in the description it said no WIFI

Can not turn the AC on before 10pm, before that, there's not even a fan in the room. The room is hot and smell with sweat. Didn't get the key for the locker at all.

I honestly cannot complain much. Maybe the WiFi was a bit spotty, but it's to be expected in a hotel
Very kind people, both staff and other guests.There was also a resident cat welcoming us everyday :') Showers were clean and always available, there were a couple of nice big sinks, pleasant shared spaces (garden, kitchen, roof terrace). It was surprisingly clean – usually cheap hostels are disgustingly neglected, with mold or dirt everywhere. This was not the case here. The hostel turned out to be pretty comfortable. There was AC in the room (from 10pm to 10am) so nightly temperatures were pleasant, allowing for a comfortable sleep. We highly recommend this place!

You have to walk 20 minutes for Sliema or you can get bus, location is not bad. Toilets and bathrooms are out of the rooms, and these have so small tiny area, that was bad. People who we didnt know and see ( maybe other rooms guests) came our room and use our rooms wardrobe?? That was disturbing. Hostel should solve this.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hostel was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Window open and few mosquito 🦟 The laundry service provided every Monday, very poor service, did not even start the laundry gone 2pm. The staff didn't care when they started. No consideration that someone may want their clothes by 5pm for a night out. So I used outside laundry in town, was much faster for €8
Good travellers residing their. Friendly guests. Showers are good, toilet good.

Would like to have had the use of a toaster and an oven for cooking; however, was very happy to have had the use of a washing machine.
Accommodation particularly suited to those who are not in Malta to party every night of the week; also provides some work spaces, comfortable seating, outdoor area and rooftop, and lends itself extremely well to those who like to socialise and cook together and learn about different cultures.
