Localization - close to the beach

Location is perfect if you wish to stay next to the beach. It is not crowded even on weekend. Restaurant in the beach is decent. But DistrictFive right next to it is perfect with same prices. Seafood platter is a blast and is huge. Grocery shops are close by. Starbucks is there as well if you fancy good coffee. Other coffees around are rather bad. Apartment offers aircon in all 3 rooms.

It is fare to mention two points. Apartment is located in 3 floor above 2 bars. Evening is busy there but not loud. It is just filling the apartment with chicken and garlic smell. I would also recommend to refresh the walls in apartment.

Everything was excellent. The location is great. Manuel is very kind and helpfull, ready to solve any problem or answer any question. The apartment is well equipped, with air condition in every room. It is spacious and comfortable. The bus station is right across the street from the apartment.

Great location, nice view and very clean

Manuel was very hospitable and understanding. He was easy to communicate with. Manuel sent instructions on how to get to the apartment and it was super clear, really helped us locate the place as it was not where the taxi dropped us with the address. The apartment was spacious with a balcony and lovely view of the beach. WiFi access. All amenities as advertised. I would definitely come back for a family holiday. There is the beach across the road where shallow water for toddlers to play in and sun beds for rent. Sports court right on the beach and a children's play ground. You can find restaurants and shops all along the strip and chicken shop just downstairs from the apartment.

The bed was uncomfortable for 4 night stay, maybe would be fine for 1-2 nights. I could feel the springs and it was making a lot of noise when move in the night

The location is very good. Close to shops and the bus stop to the airport is right opposite the apartment. The x4 bus.

The apartment has that old and worn feeling. From front to back the apartment has a large balcony with table and chairs, although the chairs are a bit bogey, be careful when you sit on them. It has a gas barbecue that we did not use because of the state of it. It also has two sunbeds. Next is the toilet and shower to your left as you come in from the balcony. The sink is the only good thing I can say about this room, although there is plenty of hot water. The toilet has a toilet seat that we were afraid to use because of the state of it. The shower is old with very little power to it. I would say that when the boiler blew all the electricity the owner replaced it. It did take two days to fix, not good when you spend a day at the beach and need a shower. Next you have the living room, a two person couch with a throw over it, this has see better days. Opposite is the TV and WiFi hub, be careful the TV plug is held in by some string. Also here is a door and behind it there is a washing machine and some storage. The kitchen is dated but functional, it has everything you might need and then something that you don't want to see in a kitchen, mold. There is a table and chairs also. Next is the bedroom, the bed is a pull down but I must say it was very comfortable but the pillow's kept falling into the gap where the bed folded into the wall. There are no bedside lights so you have too get out of the bed to turn off the lights. Opposite the bed there is a very small room with a wardrobe and bunk beds squeezed into it, there is also an air conditioning unit in this very small box room. Next is the back balcony, big enough to hang out your washing. There is a clothes line here. Be careful the handle on the outside of the door is missing and there are sharp edges on it. All of the above is in one room except for the small box room. By the way this has an 8.8 rating on booking.com. I guess that is for the location only.

Very close to a nice beach. Nice view from the apartment and the balcony was great. The apartment has everything you need.

The location is 30 seconds from a sandy beach with warm water. I really liked Pretty Bay and spent almost all of my 10 days there with my family. There are restaurants around, other beachgoers are quiet type and the flat itself was great. I really liked that beach towels were provided, in addition to normal towels.

Manuel was very helpfull with everithyng, he let us stay even longer because we had a flight a night... We really like the terrace. Kids were very happy with playground outside just across the street... The beach was also very nice... Everything is just as on pictures...

The inside of the apartment has everything you need. It's clean and comfortable. It was easy to get in.

This is not the fault of the owner of the apartment but the booking score was 9.7 so we were shocked.The area was a dump. The front door was unlocked. There is a fridge freezer dumped in front. There are loose wires.. it's like a building site. There's building going on around you. The view is of big tankers in the sea. Lots and lots of them. Very ugly. Left after a day and a half.

Great location overlooking beach and close to facilities. Manuel was quick to reply to messages.

Pretty Bay looks exactly just like on the pictures. We loved to be here. The property’s location is unbeatable. Everything what you need are around of the apartment.The bay of course , shops, restaurants,bus stops. i would say pretty bay is the best opportunity for families who doesn’t want to travel by bus a lot because their young children. Everything is near by you , but if you want to ride a bus , the bus stop is front of the building! The apartment was clean , and well equipped . For this price the view from the terrace is unmatched ! Highly recommend.

The front balcony

The front balcony is lovely and it is clean but the rest is not maintained adequately. Looking at past reviews, a guest said there were bed bugs. The owner said they must be mosquitos. Another guest said there mosquitos and the owner said that he was sure it wouldn’t be a problem 4 floors up - but I got bitten. A guest said that the property was insecure from the building site Nextdoor and the owner said it had never been a problem - but anyone can still walk into the property from Nextdoor. A guest didn’t like having to walk up and down 4 floors for a month because the lift didn’t work, but after “fixing” it the owner still emails all guests to tell them not to panic if the lift door won’t open but please be patient rather than to force it. The bedroom has 2 bunk beds in it and is claustrophobic because they are so jemmied in there. Half the light switches didn’t seem to operate anything at all and the others were not obvious what they were for. But the front balcony is lovely.

This apartment was fantastic it had everything we needed, really comfy beds lovely bed covers too, everything was spotless! And it was so handy to have kids beach stuff already there too, the owner was very helpful. I also think this had the nicest terrace and beautiful views! We also drove around to the top 3 beaches in malta and I don't think they were a patch on our little pretty bay beach. If we ever go back to malta again I would definitely book this apartment again!

Four weeks without a lift .81step up and then 81 steps down which limited the times I could go out due to my heart condition I spoke to Manuel and he said it would be fixed within the fist week this didn't happen. So this ruined my holiday. This apartment was advertised with a working lift not so. Very disappointed 😔

The property was in a good location. Just across the road from the beach! Public transport was just across the road. Everything was within walking distance.

Not being in the apartment. The country is very beautiful.

For the price that I pay it's not admissible to have cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. There was something in the bed (bugs) because, after the first night, I had my legs all bitten by something! There are 2 or 3 restaurants/takeaway at the entrance of the apartment so there is some noise at night.

Very pleasantly surprised by apartment 3. Large living area with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, TV, wifi, sofa & dining table. Bedroom 1 with double bed & bedroom 2 with two singles. Shower over bath. Great views over the beach from lounge with plenty of restaurants & bars close by. Had one minor issue with hot water (we accidentally switched it off), so messaged owner. He responded almost immediately & advised how to switch it back on. Excellent bus service to Valetta (35 min for Eur2) with bus stop very close by. Would definitely stay here again

Bathroom could benefit from fresh sealant around the bath tub

The flat is next to the beach with a nice terrace and sea view. There is a big free parking 5 min walk from flat or sometimes there were available parking spots near the house itself. The flat interior is fairly simple but there is everything what might be needed. The host responds quickly

The property Pretty Bay Apartments does not offer catering. There are many bars in the area where you can eat well and cheaply. The flat itself is located very close to the beach. Just cross the street and you are already there. Contact with the owner was very good. He answered any questions quickly. Very good transport links allow you to visit other locations in Malta.

There are beach towels,alongside with other towels provided. The terrace is nice,though we found it too hot to pass much time there at this time of the year,but certainly nice in spring or automn.The kitchen is fully equipped.

There is very little space.Contrary to the usual response of the owner to criticism "everything is on the photos", one doesn't know how little movement space there is unless one is there.Even less does one know that the children's room smells of damp with door closed, the fridge is way too small, the wifi signal is weak, the sofa very old and stained, the shower head oxidated and the water pressure weak,the hall and stairs a proper mess with stains and garbage.Apparently due to an electricity cut the lift had suffered damage,and our apartment was on the 4th floor, but despite the claim by the owner that it would be repaired the day after our arrival,it wasn't.The owner also often replies along the lines of that's what you get for the price,however we spent the first half of our holidays in a great apartment with 2 bedrooms on the north of Malta at a lower cost.All the more to regret why we didn't spend the whole of our holidays there.
