How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the shower has very low water pressure and the shower booth needs to be fixed. Other than this everything was ok.
We enjoyed our stay at Primera Hotel. Location is quite strategic, staff friendly, comfortable rooms and facilities. Also a nice rooftop pool with view to the sea.

A bit low water pressure in the shower, some bed sheets and towels need changing
The hotel staff are super friendly and are ready to promptly cater for your needs as a guest. Because the TV in my room wasn't working properly, I was offered another room on the top floor, which had been renovated. Little time did I have to watch it during my 2-week stay, but I reckon everything should be in order.

Toilet cleanliness wasn't great even from the start. Shower and surroundings could have done with a deep clean Balcony not swept or cleaned and no brush available for us to do it either

The only thing I didn't like was that I went to pay for breakfast one morning The breakfast opens at 7.30am.I went down at 7.32am and breakfast was so cold.
This is a well situated hotel in St Paul's Bay close to the sea and within easy reach of cafes and restaurants nearby. Check in was quick and easy with helpful advice from the receptionists. Rooms are fairly spacious with a medium screen TV, kettle, fridge they get cleaned daily unless you choose not to.the hotel has a nice rooftop sun deck with a small 1 metre depth pool on the 7th floor. Snacks and drinks are available from coin operated vending machines at reasonable prices they also sell snacks in reception but they can be a little costly all in all it's a good standard 3* for price surprisingly very comfy.

in the double bed there were two single mattresses of different heights which easily moved apart. the air conditioning needs to be disinfected and refreshed. 2 small cockroaches were in the room.
good location, close to shops, restaurants, free parking on the street, nice and helpful staff. spacious balcony. Adequate quality for the price. ideal place for a short trip to sleep, bathe and go sightseeing

The room was a bit dated, & the bathroom needed ripping out & replacing. The shower head leaked everywhere and was hanging off the wall. The sink was old fashioned & there was no-where other than the floor to put soaps, sponges, tooth brushes etc. The tv & kettle had E.U. 2 pin plugs, but the sockets in the room were UK style 3pin plugs - so they were unusable without an adapter (which wasn’t provided until we asked). Someone had forced the 2 pins of the tv plug into the bottom 2 holes in the wall socket, by forcing them apart so they fitted!!!
Location - 3 minute walk to Bugibba Square & the sea. The staff were really friendly & helpful. The common areas of the hotel were clean & nicely presented. Everywhere was very clean & smelled nice.

Perhaps breakfast could be a little better. Only eat once as we were room only.
Staff were very very good. From the minute we arrived till we left. Very attentive and always welcoming. As it was our anniversary they had a bottle of champagne waiting in our room. Special thanks to Claire who was very helpful. Good central location. Very clean hotel.

Location was ok, maybe not great if you travel with kids as the beaches were not very accessible and rocky, no sand beach.
Staff from the hotel were very polite and kind. We were sent to eat our dinner in a restaurant opposite it. The food was nice , but there was not much variety of desserts, just different kinds of cakes. Staff in the restaurant were not especially friendly, just a waitress from Serbia, she was very nice with us.

I WISH THERE WAS AN INDOOR POOL AS WE WERE THERE IN WINTER BUT THERE WASNT .
THIS HOTEL IS IN BUGIBBA SQUARE SO IT HAS A GOOD LOCATION..WE STAYED ONLY FOR 1 NIGHT IR WAS GOOD ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE .

I liked the Maltese person who greeted us and the staff friendliness send understanding of my son s situation considering he is on the spectrum.I appreciated the fact that the staff tried to cater for my son for breakfast.

as mentioned above the staff were really friendly and helpfull
It's a nice hotel in a good location. There was only one room key, so you had to key-hop if you couldn't get back together. The pull-out bed for the third person was very uncomfortable, although the hotel did try to help with this when asked. buzzing noise through the night and bad ventilation although we were aware this was only a shaft window when booking, and there was no towel rail to dry towels on
