Extremely clean comfortable rooms, straightforward self check in with clear instructions. Spacious, spotless rooms and attention down to the last detail including an ironing board and an iron in the room. Very friendly reception staff. The Xewkija square as a location is both lovely and charming.

MaltaNot much to complain, I think the rooms need an update, such as a paint job and some appliances such as the mini-fridge needs replacing as it wasn't working properly but since we stayed just for 1 night, this wasn't a problem for us.
Breakfast was good, a vast option within a restaurant setting. Location was amazing, right next to the main square. The checking process was made easy with thorough instructions.

MaltaInsulation - the property has a quite a big issue with las of insulation - my room was on the top floor, penthouse (room 10) and unfortunately I could hear everything and anything, including a group of people returning to the hotel at 3am. My 2 year old woke up immediately once they entered - there are 2 floors and I would have never imagined it to be an issue in a hotel however unfortunately it was. Walls - the room needs basic maintenance, plastering of certain parts and repainting - it is a small task but makes the whole difference to the property.
Organised hotel, instructions for self checkin were clear - staff are very nice and accommodating. I also requested late check out, which was approved.

MaltaThe fact that some guests don't respect others. The room next to us from the (18th to the 19th) definitely had no respect. I do understand that children are children and they do play (i was one myself), but they started running and shouting in the corridors, even moving furniture around...this all started around 5:30am/6am.
The cleanliness of the room, the design of the bed with the sheer and the fact that in the book provided you can find contact numbers of doctors that was something we never found anywhere.

MaltaOur only disappointment is the Breakfast; there was very limited choice in the intercontinental part of the Breakfast (only ham, cheese, yougurt, nutella, fruit & limited cereals) and also limited choice of desserts (only croissants); being Christmas time, we were expecting some Mince Pies, Christmas Cake or log etc. On the other hand the Quality English Breakfast part was Good.
Everything was fine except the Breakfast as detailed in the don't like section.

A quiet place. Good breakfast, only I recommend going early, because there is only one cook who starts preparing what you order for breakfast. It happens on a first-come, first-served basis and if there are more people ahead of you, you will have to wait for your food for a very long time.
