How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Verified reviewThe property was great. You could not ask more in terms of the view from the balcony and the location of the property. There is everything you need in the apartment and plenty of restaurants and shops close by!
There is not much wrong with the property, however, we did get woken up by workers a couple of times during the week. The blinds / curtains in the second bedroom let in a lot of light. Also, the sofa bed is not ideal for a good nights sleep.

The apartment was very nice , two large bedrooms , though just one bathroom. Second floor with stairs or a lift . Need to take adapters for using the small appliances like kettle, toaster and coffee machine as there are Uk sockets but appliances have two pin plugs ! Supplied adapters didn’t work . Some little jobs to make it a top apartment. Be aware , there is active building site facing the bedrooms and they start early with drilling etc. So, expect early wake up. Not a problem for us once up as we were out all day .

Verified reviewPerfect location. Supermarkets bars and restaurants in walk distance. The apartment is big enough. Can fit up to 6 persons.
There were 4 of us adults, but in kitchen you can find only 2 wine glasses. The kettle had a burnt socket. We didn't risk using it. Kitchen equipment like pans must be changed. Flat has washing machine and iron. But the drying rack is fully covered with rust. I suggest not to dry anything on it if you want to wear your clothes once again. In the bathroom there is a shower cabin which has only 1 half of the door. When you will have a shower, all the floor will be wet. The idea to take a shower in bathtub is also not that good, there is no hanger for the shower hose. The bedrooms also have small balcony’s on the street side. A building across the street is under constructions. Be ready to be wake up early. It also makes the whole apartment very dusty. Even if you don’t open that balcony’s. No one mentioned in comments that on weekends you will don’t have a chance to sleep early. In that perfect view balcony there is a bar right under you. The music is SUPER loud, if you are having dinner in balcony, maybe you will not even hear what your friend is saying to you. In house rules - no noise after 10pm. The music plays up to 12am. If you come here not to partying, windows are not proofed for everything what’s going outside. The furniture on the balcony is also in very bad condition. The balcony door can’t be locked. There is a lot of sockets and light switches. Half of it doesn’t work. Finally to the payment part. First you’ll pay the full amount directly in booking. Then in few days before check in you’ll get a message from property, asking you to pay via PayPal the damage deposit in high 200€ with the comment that if you don’t break anything you will get it fully refund within 7 days after check out. Which was not mentioned anywhere during your reservation. This is the first time I've encountered something like this. Ok. You’ll pay it, without even knowing, in which condition the apartment is.

Verified reviewThe location of the Apartment is ideal for Bars Restaurants shops etc. Also only a short walk to the bus stop where you can get transport to anywhere in Malta including an Express bus to the Airport. The view from the balcony is excellent and we had sunshine on it from around 9am to 7pm everyday we were there early September
As others have said the property is a bit dated and could do with a makeover. We had no shower door during our stay as the previous guests had broke it. The balcony furniture also needs replaced as it is in really poor condition. We also had an issue with the TV and Wi-fi on arrival but Leva sorted this for us promptly. Finally the lift ! just do not use it !!

Verified reviewVery nice and large apartment, in the centre but still quiet area. Balcony was large enough and offered a nice view. Large bathroom with 2 showers.
The living room should have an AC as well, as this is the place where most time is spent. The beds and pillows were not so comfortable. The closet should have more shelves.

Verified reviewThe location is really beautiful, as it offers a direct outlook on the Spinola Bay (gorgeus to have breakfast or relax on the balcony). You are in the middle of many shops and services, on top of public transportation that can bring you everywhere in Malta. PLUS: Communication and availability of the owners is really pleasant and appreciable: you only need few minutes for an answer, and when we had some issue with the remote control of the TV, and Ieva ran to bring a new one in the apartment!
Soundproofing towards the outside is a bit poor.

What I didn’t like was: - the lack of basic spices like salt or pepper - duvet was prepared only in one room - there was one situation when there was not enough hot water for all of us to take a shower Nevertheless I would still strongly recommend this place :)
