How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The apartment was nice and cozy. There was everything you need for a nice stay. Very well equipped and easy to use kitchen. Excellent comunication with staff. Very, very close to Xaghra Square, good restaurants, shops and even Pharmacy opposite side of street.

The apartment is really spacious and well-equipped, with two bathrooms and an enormous living area. It's very near the central square of Xaghra, with its church and lots of excellent restaurants. We found Xaghra to be one of the nicest and friendliest towns in Malta and Gozo, only minutes by bus to Victoria, Ramla beach, Xlendi and the ferry port. There are quite a few walks into the surrounding countryside too. Samuel was really helpful before and during our stay, replying to our queries very quickly... A brilliant host!

The only thing we would have liked is a few more pans.
Very good location, close to buses and services - shops, restaurants etc. Fantastically good and quick response when we had questions. We liked the apartment and it felt almost like a home :)

Hot water in the bath tub does not run properly hence it couldn't be used. There is a TV set but unfortunately no TV service (or at least we couldn't find it). Wasn't a big thing for us as we logged in using youtube and our netflix account.
The house is pretty much as described. Actually, the main photo is a bit old as the property now has curtains against the windows, thus adding for privacy, and new shelving for plates next to the dining table. Not showing in pictures is a sitting room. Bedrooms were largeish complete with new mattresses. Overall, the property is large, clean, well-maintained and nicely decorated. The location is excellent and quiet. Just beware that Google Maps is not aware (2023) of the one-way street system around the property -not the owner's fault - so ideally add an intermediate waypoint to Xaghra parish church before residence.

Nothing particular. Also Xaghra is a great location with various attractions and beaches nearby.
The place is very comfortable for a family with young kids. The location is great and the owner is a great gentleman. One of the ACs had an installation fault (something that can happen to everyone) and when we contacted the owner, he gently came to open another room with a fully working AC.

Absolutely nothing.
Everything was perfect! The place is even nicer than it looks like in the pictures. It is a proper home rather than just a rental place. Offers a lot of privacy, especially the way the bedrooms are distributed. The host is very friendly and quick to respond to any queries. For sure we will be re-visiting in the near future.

There was nothing we didn't like, our stay here was great.
The owners of the home were so lovely and accommodating, we arrived late but that was not a problem. The size of the place is great as well as it location, just down the road from the main square.. Even after we had arrive the owners checked in on us to ensure everything was OK and that we were happy. And said if there was anything we needed to just get in touch. It was lovely and clean. The air conditioning was a god send. The little outside area was lovely (nice little space to star watch in the evening too) The outside space also has a washing line to hang those wet clothes after a day at the beach. There's literally nothing I could fault.

It was very spacious clean and had basic necessities which were very helpful. The owner was also very helpful with anything we needed. I would definitely re book. The only thing is one of the bathrooms smelt a bit bad because of the drain pipes but nothing unbearable.

Despite a generally pleasant stay, the water pressure in the main bathroom could use improvement.
The property, situated in a charming location, left a positive impression with its cleanliness and overall appeal. One notable aspect was the prompt responsiveness of the owner to messages on booking.com, which added to the overall positive experience of our stay.
