How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Verified reviewBeautiful house, quiet village, lovely pool, gorgeous plants. Attentive host dealt with minor issues rapidly. Good laundry room. Excellent local buses and nearby bus stop. Easy access to Victoria. Very relaxing family friendly house.
No nearby shops. Kitchen needs some more basic equipment: table knives (only 2) and sharp cooking knives for chopping fruit and veg. Needs a bread bin and food cupboard in the kitchen area. Bleach spray. Outdoor table needs a good clean under its glass top. Would have been nice to have starter charcoal for bbq as without a car we couldn’t carry it

Nearest shopr are in Kercem and Victoria, however, one can easily use our service of shopping delivery, or order delivery via Bolt App, if client doesn't have a car. Both options are usually very convenient with our clients. We'll definitely be adding more basic kitchen items such as table and cooking knives, as well as a bread bin and considering a designated food cupboard. We'll also take care of the outdoor table cleaning under the glass top, and look into providing bleach spray as a standard. Your point about starter charcoal is well noted — especially for guests without a car — and we already offer this service as one of our extras. Verified reviewWe had an amazing stay at Tan Nanna Farmhouse in Kercem. The property was spotless, spacious, and incredibly well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the farmhouse has three bathrooms, which made it super convenient! Travelling with a toddler, we appreciated that a high chair, cot, and a cot mattress were provided. The pool area was peaceful and private, ideal for both adults and little ones. The location in Kercem is quiet but central, just minutes from Victoria, supermarkets, and some lovely countryside walks. A big thank you to Marvic, our host, who was always available, kind, and quick to reply whenever we had questions — a great host really makes all the difference! Could do with an informative booklet of services like trash etc.. 2km from Victoria which isn't far but absolutely nothing locally. Air conditioning broke, they did try to get it fixed but not before we left.

The issue with communication was mainly due to the unfortunate event that your phone battery died, and I'm sure you understand that for our clients' safety and our properties' security, we can only provide check-in details to the person who have made the reservation, unless obviously the same person can proof his/her/their identity through a 3rd person mobile phone. This is a strict policy for us, but I was glad to solve the issue in a very short time. Thanks once again for choosing our services.

Verified reviewThe villa was wonderful and we all loved the pool, especially our grandchildren. The quiet village location 5 minutes from the city of Victoria was great with a bus stop just around the corner for the bus to Victoria. Uber vwas also very reasonable. Parking for two cars at the front of the property. The layout of the villa worked well for us with one double and ensuite downstairs and the rest on the first floor. Comfortable beds and pillows. Air conditioning in every room was amazing as it was in the high 30's during our stay. The wasing room on the second floor was also a great idea The best part was the large open plan ground floor with the kitchen in ghe middle. The kettle died and was swiftltly reply replaced. Thankyou. We had a great stay and willl be recommending the villa.
More towels for the pool would be great. I really can't think of anything else.

Verified reviewThe property has plenty of space, high ceilings and a traditional Maltese style. There are so many places to relax whether you want to be in the sun or in the shade. The pool is lovely; big enough to swim in and nicely-positioned in the courtyard garden. The pillows are really comfortable and the bed linen is spotless.
There are only a few very minor points that would improve the experience: There were no rubbish bags for the bins and no bin in the kitchen. The cold water pressure is low in both downstairs bathrooms. The upstairs en-suite shower is very weak and the small sink is slow to drain. The shower heads need de-scaling. Some printed instructions would be helpful, especially for how to use the TV and how to deal with rubbish.

Limited cooking facilities and need updating, gas ran out on the last night and no microwave to use instead. Dishwasher stopped working during the week. No cleaning products provided. Shower drainage was poor and unable to use the ensuite Shower without it leaking into the bedroom floor.

Around the pool was slippery so wear flip flops and walk slow, maybe could have some rubber matting for extra safety.
