This apartment is perfectly placed having superb views of Msida Marina in one direction and the islands residential vista in the opposite direction. Transportation of every kind was available within a short walk to the island attractions as well as the airport. The apartment has a great balcony overlooking the busy but fascinating centre of Msida but when closing the balcony doors to retire to bed it was both quiet and comfortable in the air conditioned bedrooms. The host made us most welcome and the information booklet detailing places to visit and the various restaurants was very informative. The welcome pack including a bottle of wine was a nice touch.

The kitchen lacked a good food preparation area, however as we intended to eat out every day this was not a problem. There are some road works below the apartment which provided us with additional visual interest however some may find this less appealing.

It was really well furnished apartment, with the beautiful view on the church. And we were welcomed with the letter, guide book and a bottle of wine which was just very nice:) beds were also very comfortable

There were some problems with flashing and construction works behind the window but it was temporary problem I guess

Lovely, clean and well presented apartment overlooking the marina and church. Inside looked just like the photos online. Handy for buses and some good local amenities. Aircon in the bedrooms and comfy beds. Hosts provided coffee and tea and welcome bottles of wine and water. The apartment was quiet inside and towels and bedding were supplied for our stay, as well as toiletries.

On arrival in the early hours the lift wasn’t working nor the lights in the entrance lobby and stairwell. The apartment is on the 5th floor so was difficult to get the cases up the stairs, especially in pitch darkness. This was rectified following a message sent via the app. but no actual responses received. Unfortunately, both went off again 48 hours later. Again, it was fixed the following day but meant there was lots of climbing of stairs we didn’t expect and no apologies or explanation from the hosts. Even more disappointingly, there are major roadworks outside the apartment which must have been started some time ago and are planned for many months to come. This meant the beautiful balcony and view were not able to be appreciated in the daytime due to noise and dust. We were not informed of this in advance and I must admit I wouldn’t have booked the place if I had of known. The view was a massive selling point for me as was the balcony for relaxing breakfast, lunch and evening drinks for example. None of which we had.

The Authentic Place, even if the name grates a little, is the best apartment my wife and I have ever rented across Europe. It’s spacious, well fitted out and has several small touches that show the owners really care. There’s a bit of traffic noise at the front but the bedrooms at the back are very quiet. The location is near the main yacht marina in Valletta and the nearest bus stop is only 100 metres away. Frequent buses take only ten minutes to get to the old city. Plenty of convenience stores and cafes nearby, and a couple of decent restaurants as well. Chris and Neil were extremely helpful and responded very promptly and effectively to a small query we had before we arrived.

Everything was spot on – from the tidiness and cleanliness to the natural light that fills the space. 🚗 Parking & Location: One of the highlights was how easy it was to find parking on the surrounding streets, which made everything more convenient. Although there are currently some construction works near the roundabout and the creek, I believe that once they are completed, the view from the balcony will be even better. 🏡 Apartment & Building: The building itself is elegant and well-maintained, and the apartment has a spacious and inviting balcony – perfect for an evening drink while unwinding after a long day. 🛏️ Comfort & Amenities: The mattresses were very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and overall, the apartment gave off a true home-away-from-home feeling. 💯 Overall: I truly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend The Authentic Place for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Msida.

🚧 Temporary Roadworks Near the Creek 🚧 At the moment, there are some ongoing construction works in front of the building as part of the creek expansion. While this is a temporary situation, it does make pedestrian circulation a bit more challenging. However, once completed, I believe the improvements will enhance the area and make the view from the balcony even better. That being said, this has nothing to do with the apartment itself, which remains a fantastic place to stay.

We enjoyed the design and the overall atmosphere in the flat! Nice view from the balcony. There are some small repairs going in the square, but the view still amazing. The kid enjoyed the bed with curtains a lot!

It was a bit chilly, but not critical

Beautiful decor and attention to detail. Nice size for 3 people for 3-4 days. Easy to catch buses and plenty of good walkable restaurants really close by. Also lots of convenience stores.

A bit too noisy to sit and enjoy the view with constant road works outside, obviously not the fault of the hosts but very noisy . It didn't affect us as we were out all day . Bedrooms are very quiet being at the back of the apartment.

the apartment was very well designed and furnished with an eye to the past and heritage.... the location was wonderful, an easy commute with fantastic bus service to Valletta

The apartment was beautiful, had an amazing view off the balcony. Had absolutely everything you needed and extra, the host was super hospitably.

Out of the two showers only one worked with hot water and would run after a short while. Which was a bit of inconvenience when being in a group of 4 girls, also found the floors really dirty and could of done with more few more towels and blankets

Great location, quiet, yet surrounded by bars and restaurants and 2 minutes away from bus stops that can take you all over the island for super cheap. The apartment itself was clean and modern, had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy.

The accommodation is beautiful and truly comfortable, matching the photos perfectly. The view is spectacular, and despite the occasionally crowded roads, the place maintains a peaceful vacation atmosphere. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, and there's a portable AC unit in the living room. The host was friendly and easy to contact whenever needed. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The shower water remained the same temperature, regardless of whether the knob was turned to hot or cold.

Free standing A/C in living room did not cool the area down sufficiently . There was a power cut in the local area which we think knocked off the lift sync and we were afraid to use the lift for 5 /7 days .that meant a hike most days twice a day up 80 marble steps to the 5th floor. When we contacted the no by text to check on the lift it had apparently been reset but noone told us . Also we were informed it was going to be checked by maintenance as it had been playing up! The bedroom on the LHS had a roller blind that was 2feet short and voile curtains so the early morning light got in each day in my room and I was awakened very early before 6am. The other bedroom had thicker longer curtains. The wooden chairs were a bit rickety and one of the supports was broken in one chair so the chair was dangerous to sit on even when the support was put back in. A parasol was definitely needed to sit on the roof top during daylight as it was scorching hot up there !😝
