The place is very atmospheric, charming and at the same time comfortable. We didn't miss anything. The location was perfect - historic part of town, quiet courtyard and yet very close to the bus depot and all the pubs and shops.

    Nothing

    Property response:

Thank you for your kind review, and happy to hear you had an enjoyable stay :)

The property is a traditional Gozitan house that has been sympathetically renovated. It is centrally located in Victoria literally on a quiet narrow pedestrianised street within walking distance of the bus station. It is tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished with a relaxed ambience. The house was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen.

Nothing! All the rooms are on the first floor and are accessed by two flights of uneven stairs that might be tricky for some people to climb.

Such a lovely property. All one needs for a restful stay. Really beautifully decorated, keeping an authentic Maltese atmosphere but still contemporary and modern. Kitchen was handy to have, shower and towel warmer were top notch. Mattress was perfect. The location was excellent, central but still enclosed, almost felt like a film set. Will be certainly missing our morning coffees on the balcony.

I would have liked a bit more hosting from the host. We were just asked when we were going to arrive at the property and that was it. Nobody checked in on us and no good bye message. This makes it feel very transactional. Secondly the only way to make coffee is with a filter cone. Unfortunately someone used a laundry pod in the dishwasher (placed upstairs unlabelled right next to one left over dishwasher tablet) (also washing machine is on the bottom floor, why have laundry pods in the kitchen?), hence everything coming out of the dishwasher smells heavily of softener perfume including the plastic coffee filter. There was no alternative, no nespresso machine, no mocha pot. Gives the impression that the owner doesn't check in on the property that often.

tastefully decorated appartment; practical too; kitchen is well equipped with recent equipment; everything perfect, actually nothing to complain about, very nice place to stay!

nothing really, all was perfect; maybe just one small thing: many switches in the house - it was often difficult finding out which switch was for what; so an indication on the switches (e.g. with icons) might help...

The place was beautiful, clean and in a great location. Tucked away in a side street it's quiet but just a corner away from the main area. Main Bus terminal is within walking distance making it easy to get around the island.

We loved the atmosphere in Rowan's place. Rabat isn't the place to go if you want clean lines and modern buildings. If you appreciate quirky and historic, then this is your bolthole! We loved the twisty, narrow streets around the appartment though be warned, a taxi won't get you to the front door, its location being on the narrowest street in Victoria! The bed was super comfortable, the fact that it's a double aspect flat meant it was light-filled if that was what you wanted. Shutters & blinds in place if you wanted darkness in high temperatures. The bathroom was gorgeous, very stylish and a great, powerful shower. Helpful touches like suggestions of places to visit/eat etc were welcome as was the washing machine & tumble dryer plus the washing detergent - this was so thoughtful. I was also happy to have an iron & hair dryer, things you can survive without but which are very useful. Extremely quiet and peaceful neighbourhood too. Rowan was the perfect host, kept in touch regularly and was flexible about making changes. A really positive experience so thank you!

Longer stay? We would have loked to have more time here!

The house is very comfortable and really charming! I love the old tiles! The neighbourhood is very quiet, but central. There is a projector that gives you a feel of a cinema if you choose to stay in. Highly recommended.

It is divine, it's in the most beautiful street with balconies facing each other, too narrow for cars so it's SO quiet ... It's a beautifully restored house, with everything you need, AND 2 mins down the beautiful narrow street is the gorgeous St George Square, a tiny pedestrian square, full of cafes and a majestic church, then another couple of minutes away your at the fabulous Citadel ... as you can hear, I was rather bowled over with this place!

The fact I had to leave!
