I arrived after midnight and there are no staff on duty, so I struggled to get in the door. There was a code but it felt complex at 2am. I also missed breakfast as I hadn't been reminded of the times or where to go, as no staff on duty.

The location was by the harbour and the room had all I needed. I could leave my bag whilst I explored the next day.

Lovely, picturesque and quiet location right at seafront and close to 3 cities with easy access. Lovely small beach close by and restaurants in Birgu. Welcoming, really nice manager and lovely view from breakfast terrace.

Lovely and very helpful staff, especially the owner, who was very friendly and didn't have a problem with any request. Clean and spacious room with everyday cleaning. Good location. Fine breakfast served every day on the terrace with a view over the harbour. It was definitely worth our money, and we highly recommend it.

Great spot, on a quieter side of the city but easily accessible to the ferry and main city attractions. Comfortable with AC and decent space. Super simple check-in and check-out even when arriving late. Lovely staff

The fact that the boats from Valetta didn't take us to Kalkara. Keep that in mind so that you don't waste your time. Uber however worked just as fine.

Breakfast ws amazing and the view from the terrace as well. Many thanks to the owner for letting us borrow the EU adaptor as we didn't understand the socket we could use in the room.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. A delicious breakfast is also offered, which made our mornings even better. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant getaway. Host, I forgot to tell you when we were leaving, you are welcome to Croatia anytime you want. 😁

The location to Valletta and the harbours was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful - particularly to find the right buses and organise a taxi for us. The rooms was spacious, clean and quiet. Totally recommend this property

We got instructions for an easy check-in in the middle of the night Good breakfast, they even prepared some food for us when we had to leave for a trip before the breakfast time Nice, helpful staff, giving us some advice with an emergency we had Peaceful location with a view on the port, easy to reach Valletta by bus, good restaurants/bakeries nearby The smart TV with youtube/netflix/etc was a nice addition

Villa del Porto is a hotel in a building with history - it is not newly built. It therefore gives a feel for the atmosphere of Kalkara. The room furnishings atmospheric with a touch of this historicity. My window overlooked the harbour bay and I even managed to swim in it in the morning. A kettle in the room and very good local tea. The fridge was also there, which is a must in this climate. Staff very, very friendly - from the cleaning ladies to the owner. The breakfast was fine, you could have a filling meal. Served on the terrace with a beautiful view of the vicinity and Valletta.

There was nothing I particularly disliked. For the price paid and the view the rooms were fine, but don't expect luxury. I didn't mind the quieter location for the great view but it's not a buzzing area.

The welcome and ongoing communication with the host was excellent. The view was incredible - I appreciated a simpler room at a reasonable cost to enjoy a view that usually costs much more. Breakfast was simple but more than enough to start the day. Location is good if you aren't interested in having a lot of restaurant options and activity close by. It's an easy walk to the Three Cities and the bus stop was close. Rinella Beach across the hill was a good spot for a swim.

Everything. For the price we paid, it exceeded our expectations. We love the location and the restaurants nearby including Marea which is a Michelin restaurant. The staff were always friendly and easy to contact if needed.

If I had to mention one small downside, it would be that the beds squeaked a bit. That said, we still slept well and found the room spacious and comfortable.

The accommodation had an excellent location — it was easy to get around, and many of the main tourist attractions were within convenient reach. There were several restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, which was really helpful when we were hungry and didn’t feel like going far. What stood out the most for me were two things. First, the view from the rooftop terrace — absolutely stunning! It was a fantastic place to have breakfast and start the day. Second, our host's hospitality. He was incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed, and he took the time to chat with everyone in a genuinely friendly way. Breakfast was delicious, and overall we had a very pleasant experience.

Bit small room, there's a little street noise but nothing very bad. I'd say that for sleep, eating something in the morning and being away for most of the day to enjoy the country it's good.

Really beautiful view, the terrace access is a bonus also. basic furniture in the sense that you have a wardrobe, a bed, a table with a chair. We also had some festivities and could watch the fireworks so that was lovely

Calm and beautiful location. Far from overcrowded and noisy places. Just 3 minutes walk to Bus top in Valletta direction. The Bus stop back from Valletta is less than 10 minutes walk. It was a blessing to spend late evenings on one of the benches by the marina after intensive sightseeing tours around Malta. Room cleaned every day. Comfy beds. Breakfast with beautiful marina view. Great communication with owner.

If you want to stay somewhere by the water that is authentic to the region this is your place. The owner is so nice and the rooftop breakfast is special

The airco would shut off if one of us would leave the room. Oh and breakfast ended a bit early. Im not a morning person so i wasn't able to go.
