The location was good, close to bars, restaurants and a nice bay. The continental breakfast was good value but limited selection and if they ran out by 9am that was it. The road parking outside was a bonus (this is not reserved by the hostel...sorry hotel)

The property is quite run down, the description on booking.com is not accurate. The pool only saw sunlight till 10am (October). No need to set an alarm as constant construction works going on in the hotel and the buildings next door will get you up by 7am. The shower was a hand held one which had no holder... it was a lather and rinse job. The beds were weirdly uncomfortable all 6 of them, the "pull out" sofa bed was a daybed with a camp bed to put next to it which has a different style of mattress and lower then the other half making it near impossible to sleep as a couple cuddling. There was one clean of the apartment to remove some rubbish and sort of sweep. The balcony was ok very early but there was no sun from 10am, however if you lean over (just enough to crack your back) you can see the sea but I wouldn't call it a sea view.

The cleaning maids were lovely and friendly. It was situated in a good place opposite the sea front and plenty of little shops around. 15/20 minutes walk into budgibba.

The whole apartment block was run down, dirty and most of the equipment and facilities didn't work including the cooker, washing machine, AC and some lights in the rooms. Also the bathroom was flooded when it rained because of the gap around the window and the balcony doors did not shut let alone lock. The outside drainage system from the 6th floor down to the first leaked down the building and even splashing myself while seated on the balcony. We had to keep the toilet brush over the drainage hole in the bathroom to stop the smell. The itinerary list on the back of the door did not correspond with the items in the apartment i.e not even a tin opener etc There were cockroaches in our room and ants in all the food cupboards. The lift didn't work and there were 6 floors each with 18 steps to the next and we were at the top. They told us they were waiting for a part but we found out it had been broken for a long time. Some staff were not helpful when we had to bring all our luggage down 6 flights of stairs on checkout day. The pool did not look clean and was not cleaned for the duration of our 14 day holiday. Sunbeds were dirty and outside chairs were cracked on the seats.

Location is good with nice sea view, several groceries stores are within 2 minutes walk from property, i recommend "Iceland" store (fair prices and wide choice of food and drinks). Apartments are equpied with everything needed for cooking and dining. Two bus stations near property with several bus routes. Altogether, property is not luxury but offers everything needed for pleasant stay for more than fair price.

Dirty blankets. Sheets were clean, but blankets had several dirty spots, so we didn't want to use them.

The prices were low and the staff was very friendly. We found some hair on all the 3 bedsheet, and they instantly changed the bedding. The bed was comfortable though.

The oven always overheated and their buttons and handles got extremely hot as well. It was impossible to operate it without a dish cloth. The cutlery was dirty in the kitchen drawers. The elevator was broken after the 3rd day, and they did not fix it. The walls were very dirty. The toilet seat was broken.

Brilliant location and friendly & helpful staff.

    - Wobbly toilet tank when flushing - Shower head not screwed on properly so you can't move it or it falls off the wall - Wall damage/wear&tear from where the mirrors were poorly fitted - Not very clean lots of stray hair's on the bed sheets, one duvet was provided ripped and they attempted to keep it 'hidden' by placing towels over the rips - All 3 beds in our room were really squeaky and loud - A/C & TV Remotes NOT included in the price - Extremely noisy fridge - Wifi is so slow and cuts out often you are better off using restaurant WiFi 2min down the road

    Malta!

The hotel is truly an insult to the hotel business !! Dirty with furnishings that cry for help to be replaced ... In order: room with shameful kitchenette ... Air conditioners that have not been cleaned for a long time and therefore not usable ... Paddle fan with grease and dust, various molds on the walls, mattresses dirty and full of mites or similar, change of towels and sheets every 3/4 days, TV with 3 channels in Maltese, ants everywhere at the buffet That certainly did not encourage you to use the internal services (fortunately), the swimming pool with cloudy water and a series of beds with blue towel dirtier than the room with huge stains, absolute rudeness of the lady in charge who despite the obvious shortcomings still had the courage to minimize! It would take a radical hygienic intervention but probably there are no bodies responsible for the control ... I am attaching photos to support what I say. Not recommended becomes euphemistic .

The staff were very kind and helpful. I was upgraded to a penthouse on arrival as they had no appartments available and was allowed to stay there. Very Kind. The room also had a washing machine ,a bit old but working. Ask for hairdryer at reception. A short walk up to the main bust station in Bugibba . Also a bus stop right across the road more or less with bus directly to the airport. A few decent restaurants and cafes nearby. A supermarket near the hotel. Download BOLT app for taxi service in Malta , cheaper abd super quick. We used it from the airport 11 euro cheaper than the airport taxi.

Unfortunately this could be a really cute hotel. The outside area is cute but is in desperate need of cleaning. Deck chairs were too dirty that one was put off sitting on them( all that was needed was a good cleaning product and brush to clean them, they are plastic. . The same for the pool. This would be my advice to the owners , pay more attention to these details and the hotel would be splendid. It would benefit from a bit of paint here and there. railing outside the room etc. Even though the room was acceptably clean, again more attention here and it would look much better. Curtains cleaned and fixed, a bit falling of the rail. Furniture needed fixed. Light switch , one switch missing ,so the finger went right in the hole. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment.

The location, some of the staff was friendly. Because we didn’t spend so much time inside anyway it was an acceptable place to sleep.

On our first morning the toilet was leaking, the whole bathroom was completely soaked so I managed to slip, I tried to phone reception nobody answered, I’ve gone down to ask them to fix it which they did later on the day but it started to leak again. The oven didn’t work. £10 deposit for everything: aircon, hairdryer, tv remote etc. Swimming pool water didn’t look too clean and the sun beds were really dirty. No proper bedsheets and towels looked very old and used.
