Everything was perfect. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. They catered to anything and everything. The place was beautiful and catered to all the needs. Ashley was very responsive to messages and calls. If you are looking for a place to stay in Trou d'eau douce, it has to be AHAVAH

very friendly and helpful host, always available, very flexible in arranging things for us. Nicely decorated and spacious room, everything working well, room was very clean. Secure parking in the yard. Very quiet at night, very comfy and large bed. Good wifi, large TV with various channels incl. Netflix Lovely and fairly empty beaches within a 10 minute drive

Dogs in the neighbourhood are a bit annoying when walking to restaurants at night

We initially booked AHAVAH just because we had an early morning boat tour nearby, but the room was so comfortable and the hosts so welcoming that I wish we could have stayed longer. Ashley was super responsive and helpful from the moment I made the booking, and his entire family is friendly and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was top notch, and they were kind enough to prepare it early so that we could enjoy it before heading out on the boat tour. The facilities were clean and we had everything we could have needed, including a washing machine, mosquito repellent for night (definitely needed), and good wifi. Highly recommend!

Lovely environment, with parking. Family run business, who were very kind, mindful and informative. WhatsApp all information to us. The apartment was everything you could ask for, cooking, sleeping, wardrobe, washing machine, great shower. Bed big and comfortable, found us smaller pillows. Breakfast was delivered to our balcony which was very tasty each morning.

Nothing. It is on the windy side of the island, however beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Especially heartly thanks to Ashley's mother to make it feel like home. Shruti who brought us delicious breakfast with a big smile. Everyone is super nice and sweet. It is a very good hotel/airbnb with a nice touch of family environment. Renting a car comes handy for roaming around Mauritius. All the excellent reviews given to them are well deserved.

Best value for money we had in Mauritius. We were surprised of high quality standards. Perfect new large apartment with everything you need. Owners and his family are very nice and helpful with everything. Breakfast is always good with small variations every day. Great parking possibilities. Village offers everything you need (nice beaches within longer walk distance, shops + restaurants by short walks) Dont be surprised about dogs on the streets like in every village in Mauritius. They are calm and peaceful.

Fabulous family run property where nothing is too much trouble. Some little touches throughout the stay made everything even better than expected. Ashley is clearly on top of everything and sets himself high standards. This shows through in the quality of fixtures and fittings. For example the bathroom and shower were of a higher standard than a 5 star hotel. Ashley and his family are always approachable and happy to help with information and assistance when needed. Very easy to recommend this property. It is also in the perfect location for booking for Île aux Cerfs. Just BOOK IT!

The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood... Even street dogs were quiet 🤫 Everything went well in our stay. The host is a very kind person. It was very easy to communicate with him. He gave us many great tips for "what to do?", "where to eat" etc. Breakfast was very nice. The room was spacious and the bed was big and very comfortable.

Location is ok, some people wouldn't like that you have to walk through some streets past stray dog to get to main street. For me it was fine, I thought it added character to the experience.

Perfect place and amazing host!

Ashley and Varsha, the hosts were great. They looked after all our needs. If you don't get a chance to book any activities before you get to Mauritius they will be able to sorts those out for you. The beech is very close to the guesthouse, infact you can see it from the balcony. We decided not to hire a car, but in retrospect it would have been better to rent a car. Rentals are quite cheap especially if you book online before your trip, otherwise you're looking at paying around MR 4500-5000 per day to hire a taxi. People have good road manners, so driving is very easy in Mauritius. It's a stunning island if you like nature.

This place is amazing! Starting with the warm welcome from the hosts, a beautiful, spacious, and very clean room, tasty and beautifully presented breakfasts, and wonderful support from the owners, who are a lovely family. The room has very good Wi-Fi, and the terrace offers a fantastic view. The location allows for an easy walk to the beach. We highly recommend it!

Ashley,Marshall and staff could not be more hospitable. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The fresh bread in the morning is a lovely touch. They set up a WhatsApp group chat so we could contact them at all times. Their restaurant recommendations were amazing. We would highly recommend.

Our stay in Ahavah was perfect. The guesthouse was simply extraordinary. - Spotlessly clean room - Super soft and comfortable duvet - Hairdryer, washing machine, detergent and cooking amenities provided - Fresh baked bread served every morning -Hot and strong water pressure shower. -Frindly and helpful host provided information of nearby restaurant and tour attractions

Couldn't find anything to complain

Absolutely everything. If I could, I would give more than 10. Amazing people with warm hearts, beautiful authentic place, fully equipped, stylish, and comfortable designs. Varsha and Ashley are the most caring hosts you have ever met. They look after you all the time, making sure you have everything you need. Fresh buns every morning cleaning available every day if you want, additional services also available. We had a massage given by the professional in our apartment. This was by far the best place I stayed in on my holidays, and I would recommend it to everyone going to Mauritius.

Everything was perfect!! The hospitality of the hosts exceeded our expectations by far. We had fresh buns delivered every morning though meals were not included :) Our hosts gave us all information about the closest attractions and sights worth visiting. If we had any questions, they were always ready to answer or help us if we needed. Lovely people that make you feel like a part of their family.
