Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The management should put at least one towel for each bedroom cause they give only one towel for the two bedroom apartment.
Very comfortable apartment. Very clean and situated in a quiet environment.

The cleanliness could have been better (feet were grey after walking around barefoot just after arriving). No Aircon (v humid so nothing dries including towels) No hairdryer, kitchen paper, tissues, shower gel (all things that were provided in other places that were cheaper) No bedside lamp

We would have liked more cookware, particularly a small saucepan with a fitted lid and containers to use in the microwave.
This was a spacious and airy apartment, with comfortable bed and furniture. Parking was available for our hire car nearby. Our host was friendly and helpful. There is a bakery, restaurant and grocery store within walking distance. A supermarket and other shops are also nearby. The building is on a main road but we were not disturbed by street noise.

An air conditioner would be a great add to the facility. Indeed, there is a big fan that helped cooling down the room but it could be improved.
The living room is big with a dining table for 4. The kitchen is well equipped, and the dishware is quite complete. The refrigerator is big enough to store and keep several items reducing the number of trips to the grocery stores. Appreciate the warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Kadress.

My son was unable to contact the manager to extend his stay. He went down to the reception area many times and it was unattended. He had to pack up and book I to another

We spent there almost 2 weeks, and we enjoyed it much. The apartment is in walking range to the center, to supermarket and to the metro. The host was very kind, helpful and flexible. He provided useful information about the surrounding. Curepipe is located also in very good place on the island, everything is within an hour by car. Overall very recommended.

Just the stairs
The place was very clean. All the facilities were available. The owner is friendly and helpful. There was a nice restaurant close by. Access to transport was easy. Close to Darne Clinic. Only issue was the staircase if you're on the second floor. I recommend the apartment if you're visiting Mauritius.

We would have preferred a ground floor apartment due to my walking issues but the first floor one was fine coz only only few steps up
The place is situated not far from the town center and also clinic Darne. Also close by restaurant and a veg and fruit Market. The apartment is clean and tidy.

Good location with easy access to town, botanic garden, shops etc tho stairs were a problem for us.. flat was spacious and confortable tho traffic noise a bit annoying. Facilities a bit limited (only one towel, no toilet paper) but adequate.

Only missing is a washing machine
The location is great, near the centre and easily to get to.. Taxi and Bus stop is nearby. The owner was very friendly and the check in and check out was straightforward

Kadress and his wife are truly the nicest people I have met here in Mauritius. They try everything to make one feel welcome and comfortable. Highly appreciated! The apartment is quite new and has everything for a vacation. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room very cosy and what I liked best was the mattress of the bedroom. It is a little noisy as it is next to a road but at night it is thankfully relatively quiet.
