How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewC Mauritius is an absolute paradise, and our recent stay for our wedding anniversary was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warmth and that made us feel instantly at home. The entire experience was truly remarkable. The variety and freshness of the food were outstanding, and the impeccable cleanliness of the entire resort was very much appreciated. It's the small, thoughtful gestures that really stood out, though. The staff paid such incredible attention to detail for our anniversary, making us feel so special and celebrated. We want to give a special shout-out to the chef who prepared a truly exceptional private dinner for us; it was a privileged and unforgettable experience. Another massive thank you goes to the sommeliers, Wadie and Vella, who gave us an unbelievable wine-tasting experience in the cave. Their knowledge and passion for wine were infectious! Given C Mauritius's expertise in wine and its stunning, paradisiac scenery, we think a wine-tasting experience on the beach at sunset would be a fantastic addition. Imagine the incredible view paired with such amazing wine! We will definitely be returning to this beautiful resort. Thank you, C Mauritius, for an unforgettable anniversary.

Verified reviewThe hotel was wonderful. The beach, the room, and everything else were excellent. During our stay, there were 1–2 days of bad weather with rain, but this didn’t affect us at all since we enjoyed the pool, spa, and other facilities. The Asian restaurant inside the hotel was fantastic — the staff serving at the table were incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome. The teams at the other restaurants and bars were also outstanding. The grill, pizza, and pasta stations were especially good. Although there isn’t an overwhelming variety of food, the quality is very high, and in my opinion, that is more valuable than having lots of options with lower quality. The spa was also great, offering a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. If you’re looking for a calm place to relax, this is truly perfect. There are also activities like kite surfing available (we didn’t try them), but those who did seemed to have a lot of fun
One minor point: due to rain and wind, seaweed and seagrass sometimes accumulated on the beach, and while it could have been cleaned more frequently, I believe the hotel prefers to keep the natural feel of the environment.

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed the view of the beach, the many facilities they offer (we used the kanu, tried kite surfing and went to play paddle, as well as used the sauna and enjoyed a massage) and the staff was very kind! Would recommend overall!
Nothing negative about the property - just to keep in mind that this side of the island is quite windy in winter (which is why its perfect for kite).

Buffet food was ok but not nothing exceptional. No family rooms, family of 4 has to take 2 rooms which becomes quite expensive. All swimming pools freezing cold. Hotel taxis are more expensive than local ones.

We have been there in July, hotel located on the east side of the island unfortunately was very windy every day makes it impossible to swim in the pools or the ocean. Whoever tells you the winds are mild, no they are not. Consider when you will go and choose a better time.

Verified reviewMy experience at Sea Mauritius was extremely disappointing. The hotel itself is not appealing at all, and the food was terrible with almost no variety at the buffet. The quality of the food was very poor, making it hard to enjoy any meal during the stay. The facilities were far from clean, and the rooms lacked proper hygiene and maintenance. Housekeeping seemed careless, and overall cleanliness was a major issue. The worst part of my experience was the attitude of the staff, especially the receptionist Vanshri, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her behavior towards guests was unacceptable, showing a lack of respect and courtesy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Mauritius. 👎
My stay at Sea Mauritius was bad beyond words. From the start, the hotel was extremely disappointing. The facilities were poorly maintained, the rooms were far from clean, and hygiene was clearly not a priority. The food was terrible, with almost no variety in the buffet and very poor quality overall. When I spoke to other guests about their experiences, most of them said their stay was also bad. However, the majority of the guests were young groups rather than families, and for them this might be acceptable. For families, this hotel is absolutely the worst choice in Mauritius. In addition, the staff’s behavior was unprofessional, especially the receptionist Vanshri, who was extremely rude and disrespectful towards guests. I strongly do not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone traveling with family.

Verified reviewWe had to change our dates due to an unforseen family emergency and the hotel facilitated the change of dates at NO additional charge. Upon arrival, which was after normal check in time, we were welcomed by Shauna with a smile whilst our luggage was taken to the room. The facilities, including our room was immaculate and was cleaned daily. Our bar fridge was refilled daily on an all inclusive package which does not always happen at other resorts. There was a variety of food and drinks and every meal was a surprise. Being on the east coast naturally there was wind everyday but we could still enjoy sun filled days lazying on the beach. Available water sports activities a bit limited if with children as the use thereoff was influenced by the weather. The kite surfing was at an additional charge. Bisness made the best rum cocktails and the DJ kept the vibe going everynight.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was perfect. The staff were nothing short of amazing—true 5-star hospitality. The drinks were top-notch—definitely not the usual cheap cocktails you get at some places. The food was not only delicious but also of high quality. We especially loved our room, which was right next to the infinity pool. The view from there was simply breathtaking. There is literally nothing negative I can say about this hotel. A special thank you to Annasitsia at reception—her warm and uplifting personality made us feel instantly welcome. She’s a gem! Evening entertainment was great every night, and one of the highlights was the special C Mauritius session, where the staff and guests came together to celebrate local culture. The all-inclusive offering was great, with delicious food and drinks. The service stood out — especially from the restaurant team and bar staff who went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. The property itself was clean, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a relaxing family vacation.
The only downside was that the area of the island where the resort is located tends to be quite windy, which made it a bit less ideal for spending long hours on the beach or doing some outdoor activities. However, the overall experience at the resort still made up for it.

Verified reviewWe just had an amazing 3-day family trip to C Mauritius! This place is seriously awesome.From the second we rolled up, everything was just… easy. The service was spot-on – like, they knew what we needed before we even did. The facilities are next level. We spent loads of time chilling by the amazing pools, hitting the beach, and using the hamam and sauna. Everything was spotless and designed for maximum fun and relaxation. Seriously, never a dull moment. And the food? Oh my gosh. Every single meal was a winner. The buffet at C dining offered so much variety, super fresh, and just plain delicious. We pretty much ate our way through the trip and loved every bite from breakfast to dinner including its wonderful afternoon tea. But here's the real heroes for this trip: the staff. These guys are just the best. So incredibly friendly and genuinely happy to help with anything. They totally went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And on my birthday, they made me feel so incredibly special – seriously, it was such a sweet touch that I won't forget. The barmen at the beach bar were also exceptional.
In the future, if they can have a heated pool, it will make the experience even better.
