We spent 2 nights here prior leaving Mauritius. I liked the style of the main guest house very much as well as the location directly at the sea. Breakfast was very good. Embarkation point for catamaran trips is nearby.

Wifi very poor in room, location of deluxe room in grounds uninspiring, breakfast expensive for our money....got ourselves a full breakfast at supermarket for $8 as opposed to hotel breakfast at $40. Cleaning staff were manning reception on the day we were there.

Large room and bathroom, nicely decorated, slight seaview from room, good location for town access and supermarkets and cafes, nice outdoor and pool areas, good taxi service connected to family run hotel (Manoj). Hotel allowed us to extend stay due to delayed flight for extra euros.

This is a guesthouse, not a hotel: staff are often not present when needed (e.g. to replenish food or drink items at breakfast) and there is no bar or restaurant on the premises. Breakfast items were somewhat erratic. It was nice that they had some different elements every day (e.g. croissants/pains au chocolat one day, pancakes the next), but on the other hand, there was often not enough for the number of guests present at breakfast and the staff were very slow to replenish them, seeming to spend much of their time singing, talking and laughing in the kitchen. Individual tables were often inconsistently set, i.e. places lacking crockery and/or cutlery. The wi-fi was very poor in the room, constantly going and (eventually) coming back. It was much better in the downstairs area, but on a different network and each time we entered our room or downstairs we had to log on repeatedly. The air-conditioning in the room did not work, but to be fair, there was a ceiling fan which was very good.

The guesthouse is very well located right on the waterfront (no beach) on the southern edge of Mahébourg town centre, maximum 10-15 minutes' walk from restaurants, shops and attractions. Our room was a decent size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, with a good shower. Best of all was the little balcony with table and chairs, a lovely place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the sea, well shaded and with constant refreshing breezes. Breakfast was very pleasant in the downstairs "rotonde".

A few things that did not work well: kettle switch broken, shower controls don't work well, no hot water tap in basin, door and windows that face the sea don't fit tightly, windows towards the gorgeous sea view were dirty. The staff member who checked us in was extremely unfriendly. The wifi was very patchy, quite unreliable.

The interior decorating is lovely: bright, airy, tasteful - just right for a coastal retreat. I also loved the garden. And the views of course.

Breathtaking view! Peaceful and tranquil. Very well maintained. Close to the airport and nearby beach (Blue Bay) - would definitely recommend!

Breakfast is expensive for what it is. Bathroom needs some cleanup touches, eg. Seal the hole in the shower wall. But those are cosmetic, in the end we had a functioning shower and toilet.

The location, view and room size were all amazing. Manoj was recommended as a taxi driver and he also gave us some tours of the island. He was honest, trustworthy and gave us great advice.His wife works there and his son is another taxi driver. It gave it such a charming homely feel. They are really passionate about ensuring you get to experience Mauritian hospitality.

We would have liked some milk for our tea/coffee

Shower took a while to heat up.

Very clean, the pool area was really nice. We only stayed for one night and the room was great - I would book a larger room if we were to stay for longer though. Staff were very helpful to arrange a late check in for us.

The room was very small for the price we paid (we even paid for an upgraded room) as compared to other places in Mauritius. There was a confusion during check in. The staff should be coordinated to ensure smooth check in and check out process. One person was quite rude but all the other staff were extremely nice so I think that cancels itself out. The flush was not working properly in our room and the door to the balcony was difficult to manoeuvre. I do not recommend this place unless you have a morning flight like me and need to get to the airport quickly.

Beautiful property. Excellent location. Stunning views of the ocean. 10 stars for the view. Stayed here on the last night as it is only 15mins from the airport.

it rained while I was there, so I couldn't enjoy the pool or balcony as much as id like. I will have to go back!

Hotel is clearly looked after with love, nothing in the room was broken or needed replacing. nicely furnished/decorated, including a small fridge, coffee, kettle, towels. balcony has a great view looking out to sea. swimming pool wasnt large, but big enough to be enjoyable.

Very small rooms, although we highly appreciate that they gave us actually bigger room but, still, it’s very small. We were traveling, hopping around from one property to another, so it wasn’t such a big deal but I can’t imagine to stay for a week or longer. Also, I didn’t like the cold water in the shower.

It was very friendly, nice atmosphere, and actually really nice romantic place. I liked the most the look of the restaurant, it was stunning.

We had the family bungalow which was good enough for one night stay, but unfortunately the rain and stuff falling from the tree made it very noisy at night under the metal roof of the bungalow.

We only stayed one night so our experience was limited, but the pool right next to the ocean was worth the stay!!

The electricity cut out quite a bit and the wifi wasn't great at all. Rooms were only serviced once during our 3 night stay. Mahebourg isn't the nicest of areas and as the guest house doesn't serve lunch or dinner you do need to venture out to try and find places to eat.

The view is amazing. There really isn't much in Mahebourg so not a lot to do but you can use it as a base to visit other areas of the island. We spent an afternoon by the pool which was great but wouldn't swim in the ocean there.
