Lovely little hotel, very close to the airport. Very helpful staff, good breakfast and a great start to our Mauritius adventure.

The balcony view is worth everything. Room has very comfortable bed and all other amenities you’d expect.

No light

We spent 2 nights here prior leaving Mauritius. I liked the style of the main guest house very much as well as the location directly at the sea. Breakfast was very good. Embarkation point for catamaran trips is nearby.

Large room and bathroom, nicely decorated, slight seaview from room, good location for town access and supermarkets and cafes, nice outdoor and pool areas, good taxi service connected to family run hotel (Manoj). Hotel allowed us to extend stay due to delayed flight for extra euros.

Wifi very poor in room, location of deluxe room in grounds uninspiring, breakfast expensive for our money....got ourselves a full breakfast at supermarket for $8 as opposed to hotel breakfast at $40. Cleaning staff were manning reception on the day we were there.

The guesthouse is very well located right on the waterfront (no beach) on the southern edge of Mahébourg town centre, maximum 10-15 minutes' walk from restaurants, shops and attractions. Our room was a decent size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, with a good shower. Best of all was the little balcony with table and chairs, a lovely place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the sea, well shaded and with constant refreshing breezes. Breakfast was very pleasant in the downstairs "rotonde".

This is a guesthouse, not a hotel: staff are often not present when needed (e.g. to replenish food or drink items at breakfast) and there is no bar or restaurant on the premises. Breakfast items were somewhat erratic. It was nice that they had some different elements every day (e.g. croissants/pains au chocolat one day, pancakes the next), but on the other hand, there was often not enough for the number of guests present at breakfast and the staff were very slow to replenish them, seeming to spend much of their time singing, talking and laughing in the kitchen. Individual tables were often inconsistently set, i.e. places lacking crockery and/or cutlery. The wi-fi was very poor in the room, constantly going and (eventually) coming back. It was much better in the downstairs area, but on a different network and each time we entered our room or downstairs we had to log on repeatedly. The air-conditioning in the room did not work, but to be fair, there was a ceiling fan which was very good.

The view from CHILLpill is gorgeous. About 15 minutes from the airport.

The rooms need some TLC, the paint is flaking off of the walls and ceilings and this falls onto the bed. The staff could do with some customer relations training.

spots of black mould in the bathroom and the room smelled dirty floor when we checked in room not cleaned on second day, only on the third day after we asked the staff uncomfortable bed with springs place in general is a bit run down cannot cater for gluten and/or dairy free breakfast (so we had to make our own)

The bungalow has its own little private garden. Cozy and with all you need. Close to shops, beaches, restaurants.

Lovely guesthouse with lots of personality and warmth. Really helpful and friendly staff and a spectacular view from the room. Position close to town …markets and restaurants etc was fantastic. Highly recommended.

The interior decorating is lovely: bright, airy, tasteful - just right for a coastal retreat. I also loved the garden. And the views of course.

A few things that did not work well: kettle switch broken, shower controls don't work well, no hot water tap in basin, door and windows that face the sea don't fit tightly, windows towards the gorgeous sea view were dirty. The staff member who checked us in was extremely unfriendly. The wifi was very patchy, quite unreliable.

its a good looking hotel with generally good construction, decor and vibes. clean and tidy, with comfortable beds.

the shower never got hot and took forever to warm up in the water, the shower head was ancient and gross too. after travelling the one thing you look forward to is a hot refreshing shower so it was disappointing. this is why i rated it low on value for money because comfortable bed and good shower are the minimum requirements. breakfast is not worth it but there is not too much in the area for breakfast unless you go to the grocery store.
