How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Friday Attitude Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The staff stood out for their friendliness and helpfulness, always ready to assist with a smile. The food was tasty and varied, and we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered a complimentary lunch in place of a late check-out, as the hotel was fully booked. Every evening featured some form of entertainment, adding a nice touch to the experience. We also appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability it's a zero-plastic, eco-friendly property, and filtered drinking water was always available. The only downside was that we couldn’t fully enjoy the beach due to windy weather during our stay, but everything else was truly amazing. Highly recommended for a relaxing and eco-conscious getaway!

The room is quiet disappointed, It had a strong smell of dampness and was poorly insulated ,we could hear both neighbors and staff conversations very clearly. The beds were uncomfortable, and we woke up each morning with back pain due to poor sleep quality. The air conditioning was noisy and initially didn’t work because of dead batteries, we asked for new ones but nothing has been done. The bathroom also needs improvement: the sink is very small and drains very slowly. The shower has no curtain, so water ends up all over the floor, and the hot/cold controls are reversed ,plus, you have to wait about 10 minutes to get hot water

Verified reviewBreakfast wasn’t extra but kindness was what i was amazed by. Wow! Chef Puneet went above and beyond to accomodate us. GM Ravi made our stay memorable and he is a GM that is so involved in the welcoming of the guests. Everyone was so friendly! Vishal at the reception has such a great sense of humour. At the bar we met more warm staff who were so welcoming as well.

Verified reviewThe service is top standard. The staff ensure that they go out of their way to provide the best service. Minesh at reception made sure all of our questions were addressed thoroughly. Kisan at the restaurant - although he knew little English, he tried his best and always served us with a smile. Vinesh and Vignesh at the bar - made our drinks to our specific liking. Vikram - paid particular attention and made sure he went all out to meet our needs and attend to our concerns. The staff are very committed to making sure their guests have a wonderful stay.

Humidity in the room

At some point, the water tasted differently and a day later all hotel guests got sick. We weren't taken seriously by staff and there was no compensation from their end.

Rest assured that I have shared your review with my entire team and every mentioned point has been taken very seriously and constructively as at Friday Attitude, we have always and will always put forward our guest’s experience as our top priority. I have read with great concern the shortfalls highlighted during your stay. I sincerely regret that our food and drinks proposals have not met your expectations. It is unfortunate that we did not have your feedback during your stay. Our team would have been more than happy to turn around your experience and assist you with tailor-made dishes and drinks. We do try to offer a variety of menu to meet the preferences of guests from all over the world. As for the gastroenteritis, our hotel has been audited by an external supplier and all the results are up to the required standard and we can assure you that the illness was not from our hotel. Our hotel is equipped with three (3) distilled water fountains running 24/7 situated at the reception, one at the restaurant and the third one at the We beach bar. Moreover, we have a bulk shop open from 8 AM to 8 PM everyday where our guests can take water also. We are changing all the rooms curtain and unfortunately, we have not received for family rooms on times as the size is different from a standard room to a Family apartment, the curtain is not dirty but a bit worn out.
