The bed was quite hard which personally were not used to. Location wise there aren’t many restaurants to walk to unless they’re inside the luxury hotels where you need to make a reservation. Be careful walking down some of the local streets as dogs can get quite territorial

Such a lovely homestay with a very friendly and welcoming family. The room was in great condition, as per images and very clean. Small but nice pool area. For breakfast you are served fresh fruits, yoghurt, bread, croissants and pancakes. Once I told them I cannot eat gluten the next day they even went out and bought me some gluten free rice cakes from the shop.

Horisun really exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious and bathroom also. Very clean and calm. The AC was great. They changed the towels every day. The owners are the nicest people that I have met and talking to them was a fun experience. They arranged us a tasty dinner and arranged a taxi when we went on. I was breathless when I saw their beautiful garden. The walk to the beach was only 10 minutes. I could go on but I have to say you can't go wrong visiting Horisun when you want to stay at Belle Mare.

The Horisun is a unique family run beautiful little gem in middle of an island full of all-inclusive resorts. It’s not directly at the beach but at a lake and the ambiance and the gardens are beautiful as well as the rooms. The rooms are spacious and all have a lovely balcony and everything is very tastefully furnished. The owners really make you feel at home and are just lovely! If you wish the classic all-inclusive resort holiday this location is not for you but if you’re looking for an unique place to feel home and relax this just the place to go.

This place is not a hotel, it's a warm welcoming home. Location: the place is very private and peaceful. It's a nice location to visit the whole north east coast. Food: the food is cooked with love, with a perfect fusion of Mauritian and Thai cuisine. Staff: the family that owns this place has poured all their heart into it! Overall, we had a wonderful time. We will be back.

I’m glad that we booked the lake-view rather than the garden rooms as these are some walking distance from the pool facilities. A car is essential to stay here as it is short drive away to any facilities or beach.

A beautiful building in beautiful surroundings. The staff are the friendliest anywhere on the island. The lake-view room is large and the bed very comfortable. The pool and the breakfast area are stunning and right below the rooms.

It can get very hot in the room, and with AC you can easily get cold. Would be nice to have a fan in the room too as an alternative option. But the room was very cozy with a big, nice bathroom.

We had an exceptional stay in this accommodation. It was the perfect location to relax next to the lake before our departure from the island. Very peaceful location with nice view and nature. When we booked, we were a bit concerned of mosquitoes due to its proximity to the lake, but we had no problem at all the 3 days we stayed there. The room was very spacious and clean, the personnel very friendly, and helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was hearty, with many local products. Totally recommended!

Everything! Roshan and Sang make you feel at home from the first moment. They have created a little paradise surrounded by nature. We enjoyed every day, starting with a swim in the immaculate pool, the lovely breakfast with homemade crepes and fresh fruit and the 3 course dinner cooked by Sang. But the most precious thing is the feeling of being welcomed at this place.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful place. The hosts, Sang and Roshan, are the so pleasant and accommodating, they really made us feel at home. The food is delicious. I highly recommend having dinner there - anyone who doesn’t is missing out!

It would've been nice to have internet in the room, although it's probably better that there isn't, so that you can focus on whatever you go into your room for (there is internet in the reception area though and it works just fine). The dinners, although delicious, were somewhat marred by the presence of HUGE amounts of mosquitos that land on your food every 5 seconds. This wasn't so much of a problem with breakfast though. The swimming pool was excellent, but one of my bikinis completely lost its colour after swimming there (no problem with the other bikini though, so maybe the fabric itself was the issue).

Lovely family-run B&B in a bucolic secluded place. You will feel very welcome and supported throughout your stay. The room was nicely furnished, clean and spacious, and had everything you need for a few days. The exterior was very pleasant and relaxing. The view over the lake was beautiful. You can easily walk to the main street and the beach isn't terribly far either.

The owners are amazing, great hospitality, we felt like home. I got a sunburn on day 1 and they offered me aloe Vera from their garden! very nice touch and very honest family. there is a pool available as well. it is in a very quiet location, we had a very good night sleep. The dinner is amazing and a MUST! breakfast was also very nice with fresh fruits and pancakes. the place is very picturesque with the view of the lake in front of the restaurant.

A very nice and helpful familiy runs this accommodation. They gave us very good advice for our excursions and we really enjoyed chatting with them. The accommodation itself was terrific. We had a room with sea view and it was really nice.
