The staff were amazing, helpful and warm. An amazing sunset view.

While a beachfront, the beach is not very swimmer friendly because of the coral. There is an infinity pool though.

We saw the start of the refurb and thought that was needed, however the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff and location made up for everything!

That there was no water sports as advertised.

Most staff members were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, close enough to the city to avoid traffic and has a small beach and good pool

The rooms are old and not well kept. Bathrooms were full of mold, rusted handles and toilet paper holders. The shower leaked water and the shower head needed replacing. Due to the weather I had many cockroaches in my room. The breakfast was very limited

    A beautiful hotel!

The island has many stray dogs and there was this thin dog at this hotel that nobody seemed to be feeding... Instead of chasing it away, I truly hope that somebody would reach out to this dog regarding food and medical care.

    Cute dogs around the hotel

The rooms had black mold growing on the walls, we developed a cough.. There were cokroaches and bedbugs all around the room, and the bathroom had a really bad ant infestation. The matress on the bed was dark yellow and orange from the dirt. The beach was small and full of washed up trash. During breakfast we saw mouses running out from the kitchen. The hotel is far away from every nice place in Mauritius so you Will have to spend a lot on the taxi every day since there is nothing to do around this hotel. Just save yourself this nightmare and book a resort. Avoid this place at all costs. It doesnt look like anything on the pictures.

    The view from my room.

Toilet was broken at base so made a noise every time you got up from it. TV didn’t work. Bedside lamps broken. Bed bugs! Pool was empty.

The location, the beach, and the garden were very beautiful. The restaurant served a superb breakfast and a delicious dinner, and the bar prepared exotic cocktails. the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The pool was ampty during our stay. On the last day, the staff was missing, the restaurant was closed and there was no breakfast. We never realized what was going on because we were in a rush for an organized boat tour.

We stayed here for one night so that we could attend the concert that Anonym (a local band) played at Le cocotier. We paid for a garden view room with half board (dinner and breakfast) which was received. RECEPTION: The reception team was welcoming and communicated with us that our room was not ready yet (even though check-in was mentioned as 2 pm. on booking.com. We got the room at 3.30 pm. No biggie. We were informed that the pool was out of order due to the Cyclone Belal (understandably so). The reception person then took us to the bar for our welcome drinks, which was a small distance from them, the arrival reception. We then hung out by the bar while the band set up and awaited for our room to be ready. The bar area was clean and empty. The beach front view from the pool area and the event by awanam were the only highlights of our stay.

ROOM: There was a massive gap between the bottom of the door and the ground to the outside of the apartment. We had to use a towel to block the gap to avoid insects from entering the room. There is no mattress protector on the beds and hair on the floor from the mopping done prior to our arrival into the room. There is complimentary tea and coffee with creamer but only in paper cups. There are no mugs in the room. Also, the toilet leaks at the base. I have attached a photo and also informed staff to be told that "there maybe renovating the hotel," . Even though it is a hygiene and health and safety concern. There is no mini bar fridge in the room. Also, there is no complimentary water. And you are not allowed to bring outside food or drink. Hence, there are no mini fridges. (Parents of young enfants consider this before booking). You have to purchase water at the bar (if it's open, as it is usually left unattended by staff and no signage to advise guests of whereabouts). RESTAURANT: Average dinner buffet and drinks not included, not even water. You must purchase it. No name display for the dishes (so if you have food allergies, best of luck). Breakfast buffet the omelette was the best meal and not a lot of options. Again, if you have food allergies, you may struggle as "outside food is not permitted." However, there is a menu on the board for the lunch options. But still no operating hours mentioned. STAFF: The reception staff seemed to communicate better than the bar staff. But also lacked with name badges and followed up with guests about stay and the room. The bar staff seemed to range in service styles. Some were professional hoteliers, and others would get annoyed when you asked for ice in your drinks. Staff do not have name badges, so you don't know who you are speaking with. Also, there is a lack of communication within the F&B department. There is no information on when food is on offer and how long for.
