Location was great for kite surfing. The unit was clean, tasteful and very pleasant. Most importantly it was clean and well provided for. Definitely value for money.

Swimming or walking beaches aren't within walking distance - need to drive to have a swim or walk on the beach. This also applies for supermarket / restaurants. More kitchen utensils would have been helpful, i.e. glass bowl to use in the microwave.

Great location if you have a rental vehicle or your own transport. Clean and spacious apartment. Sunsets from the rooftop is amazing!

Everything was great. The apartment is very spacious and nice. Additionally, the room was cleaned daily. It is good value for money.

However, the TV didn’t work properly, as the picture cutting. The pool and the surrounding area were dirty and not usable. It’s not a good place for walking. In the evening, we found only one open restaurant on Google Maps near the apartment, but when we arrived, we saw a lot of clothes drying on lines next to the tables, so we left for Le Morne instead.

Nice, modern, and clean apartment. The host sent full instructions and the Google Maps address the day before our arrival. If you have a car, this is a great and affordable place to visit Le Morne Beach and Le Morne Mountain.

There is a TV in the room but unfortunately only mauritius channels. Because I don't speak Urdu/Tamil etc I couldn't watched anything. No English channel and only one french with news 24 But there is good wifi so it's good to have your own device with you

Very very nice and comfortable stay Good location, quiet neighbourhood no loud music or heavy traffic nearby. Free secure carpark, lots of 🌴 around and pool on the roof, our favourite spot! We loved it!!! Beautiful view from the balcony. The room is also very comfy, bed are nicely done. Clean and very soft beddings. The little kitchenette has a hob and microwave, and a big fridge freezer. Everything is very clean, this is the most important for us

Google maps directions were confusing - just be aware.

The apartment was all we needed for our stay. We were very grateful for the airconditioner as it was very hot. The balcony had an excellent view of Le Morne mountain. It was a 10 minute drive to the beach where we could snorkel and swim. We were able to cook our own meals. Our laundry was washed for an extra fee which was very convenient. Communication by the host was excellent and we were able to check in easily. Overall we loved our stay and were sad to leave.

I prefer to walk but limited pavements on busy highway, no lights anywhere at night..limited restaurants..plus spa under repair..no beach. Too much security like a prison.

We had trouble locating the apartment with the GPS (it's misleading) and directions, but came right eventually. The hosts were very friendly, professional and gracious, The apartment , which is located on the 1st floor, was comfortable and very clean and the hosts provided an extra bed as we were 2 friends traveling together. We had someone come in to clean when we left and our stuff was still safe. The location was perfect as it was in the middle of all the attractions we wanted to visit and the public beach is a very close-by drive. Only (very small) disturbance we had was the other guests below us making a noise until about 2am. But kudos for our hosts - (even though we did not complain at that time as it was late), they immediately apologized and addressed it. The view from the roof was to die for and we enjoyed the small pool/ jacuzzi. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Priscilla and partner - our hosts - for such a wonderful stay, we really enjoyed it. We will definitely come again.

We couldn't get into the lot. It was the neighbors to this lot who gave us the pin code to the main gate after trying to call the host and not being answered multiple times. When we met the host she was surprised to have us there and didn't have a system to even see what room was allocated to us. So she just gave us the first open room. After that interaction we did not see her again for the next 3 days we were there and couldn't get a hold of her, even when we left the property.

It was everything you needed for a 3 day stay. It was clean and the aircon was very good for the summer heat. It was a bit far from everything by foot. We walked 20-30 minutes to the grocery store and the beach and there was no clear system to how the bus works that was about 5 minutes from the apartment.

We arrived during cyclone Belal and had to stay inside for most of the visit here. We decided to walk around the streets at some point and we were attacked and mugged 200m from the house. This might be due to the lack of tourists in the area because of the cyclone, but not a good experience. However, the host was helpful in providing information to us and helping with meal accommodations and transport.

Very spacious room, well equipped and clean. Nice and relaxing terrace, though it could use some furniture here. Very friendly host, but we only messaged via WhatsApp, did not meet in person.

The sofa lacked comfort, and the rooftop with the pool didn't quite beckon to relaxation.

The hosts were really nice and helpful at all times. The communication was always super friendly. The balcony was our favorite spot. Also we appreciated the Nespresso machine and the water filter.

Not a negative as such, but as mentioned above, location albeit great does ideally warrant having a car (or if you don’t mind getting lots of taxis that could work too) as it is slightly tricky to get around else, and the roads are not great to walk on. Also on this note - there is no petrol station nearby so fill up in advance!! Also, quite a bit of debris in the pool. But acknowledge it is difficult to avoid this on a rooftop.

Lovely little apartment with great views of Le Morne Brabant. Hosts are super friendly and have great communication with the guests. We enjoyed sitting out on our little balcony, and the pool is a nice touch although to be honest we did not really use it as spent the sunny days on the gorgeous Le Morne beach which is our favourite on the island. Lots of decent restaurants just a short drive away and a fab coffee place for a morning fix. Would recommend having a hire car if able, as it would be tricky to get around otherwise. Overall it is very good value for money!

Unfortunately the apartment looks a little bit rundown especially the bathroom and the sheets. There is a ant plague and the barking of the stray dogs keep you up during the nights.

The location of this apartment is ideal to discover the west / south side of the island. The beautiful beach Le Morne is close by. Everyday you get a light cleaning of your room.

Upon our arrival, the shower was dirty and full of ants - the dirt probably came from a bird that got in through the open window or something, the hosts told us it had never happened before. We messaged the hosts and they apologized and sent the maid over even though it was already fairly late in the evening. The ants were there throughout the stay, sometimes less sometimes more, however there was cleaning every day and the ants were taken care of daily (and then came back unfortunately, but it is hard to get rid of them once and for all I guess). Overall I have to say that for the same money, we got other apartments in Mauritius that were a bit nicer, though I felt as if La Gaulette/ Le Morne area is a bit pricier than other places in general.

Check in was super easy, hosts are very friendly and respond to messages really quickly, even late in the evening. Balcony is very nice and the apartment is quite spacious. Daily cleaning was very nice. Well equipped kitchen and the rooftop is great although unfortunately there's no wifi up there. Location is good, although quite at the end of the village, but that's no problem if you have a car, take the bus or are happy to walk for about 20-30 minutes. Room is as shown in the pictures, although it could do with a little more intererior decoration.
